Hope J&G don't see this, after GH has run it's course could we be subjected to Jason wearing a Jacques Cousteau speedo and diving for UFO's.
That's way too creepy.

The Bermuda Triangle? *sighs* Seriously? *sighs again* Do the Russians really want to dredge up the Bermuda Triangle again? Haven't we suffered enough with that?

I wish I could recall the story exactly, but I seem to recall a story about King George of England.
He was at the time a prince, and a member of the Royal Navy I think. Anyhow, he was on board ship, and saw some saucer like discs in the water, i believe in the Indian Ocean.
There have been several reports from ships at sea about ufos under water in various parts of the world, and some of the reports like the story of King George are quite old.

Well the water-UFO connection has a possible rationale from the purely speculative standpoint. That is that the surface fo the Earth is mostly covered with water and we know little of what goes on underneath it, so if ET's were based here and wanted to hide, particularly if they possessed advanced technology that would allow them to cope with the conditions, hiding under the ocean would make a lot of sense.

I knew those damned deep sea fish had to be aliens! No way the anglerfish is earthly, I tell you ;)
Admittedly, the only thing besides a few laughs which I found it useful for was getting me interested in reading up on the deep sea again. I don't know when I'll find it useful, but it's certainly interesting.
Why would aliens want to hide on earth anyway, especially in the oceans? I've yet to see much of a reason for it besides human desire for aliens to exist within our reach. I suppose it's more exciting than a bunch of bacteria or creatures of perhaps dog-like intelligence living on a planet very, very far away…but much scarier. I'll take the unsophisticated animals, thank you very much.
