This one is a bit more interesting…though by no means "Proof"

I was actually surprised it was about Mars and not its moon, Phobos since that has been in the news recently thanks to Buzz Aldrin on CSPAN.

The UFO boards, predictably, are going crazy over this.  You know "It's a monolith!  Nothing like that is here on Earth!"  Right…well except for Devil's Tower.  And Gilbert Hill.  And El Penon de Guatape.  And so on…

Yes, nothing like that here on Earth…somebody must have put it there… Undecided

I'm not saying that they aren't interesting or that they shouldn't be studied.  These monoliths on Mars and Phobos are certainly pretty cool geographical features.  I just wouldn't get my hopes up for aliens being involved in their creation.

Although the two latter especially seem to be a lot less angular than the Mars one. Of course perspective etc have to be taken into account.

That's a seriously out-of-context Buzz Aldrin quote that they have in the article.

From the article:

"There's a monolith there – a very unusual structure on this little potato shaped object that goes around Mars once every seven hours. When people find out about that they are going to say, 'Who put that there? Who put that there?'"

The actual video clip continues: "Well, the universe put it there. If you choose, God put it there."

In other words, he's saying it's a natural formation. At least that's how I interpret that line.

So, news flash: the Sun is not a reputable scientific journal. Also, water is wet, and the sun is kinda warm.

Impossible to say anything about it without more pictures from different angles. It's also too small in the image. IMO you can't say natural or artificial—too little to go on.
