The problem with ghosts is, theres always gonna be that doubt in your mind unless you actualy experience it your self.  unless you open up your mind to the possibility, you'll never even get that as you'll simply dismiss anything out of the ordinary. I personal dont just believe they exist but Know they do. A bold statement i hear you shout, but the experiences ive had. Make it impossible for me to say otherwise.

Allow me to expand on this a little

The home that i grew up in as a child was very active with poltergiest phenomena. I personaly had many experiences but the most frightening was when i was 14. I was looking after my sister whlie my mam went to do some shopping. She was just a baby at the time and was asleep upsairs. I went in to the dinning room to play on my computer but the controllers had benn tidyed away on top of a wall cabinet. As i reached up to get it the pull down drawer on the cabinet flew open and hit me strait in the face leaving me with a cut accross the brige of my nose. I froze with shock holding my nose for a moment then hastily ran upstairs to were my sister was sleeping and stayed there untill my mam returned.

Now i know what your probably thinking. The unit door may not have been closed properly and it could have simply fell open. But the hinges on the door were pneumatic. Even when you open it by hand you had to fight the resistance of the hinges which stopped it from falling open and ripping them out of the wood. Anyone with a similar cabinet will know what i mean. I ve thought long and hard about the experiences i ve had in that house through out my child hood and those of the rest of my family and the only conclusion i can reach is that it was haunted by a poltergiest that seemede to become active after the birth of my little sisiter.

Now i know that most people on this site wont believe me and can probably offer many explanations for the occurances that took place. Here in lies the problem. I know that if any of those people had actualy been through them they would have no choice but to come to the same conclusion.

I would encourage all sceptics to at least open there minds to the possibility and perhaps even put your self in a situation where you could experience something. I dont believe theres a God, I dont believe in Heaven or Hell. But i definately believe in ghosts. What happens when we die is anyones guess but theres something beyond our reality. Id love to hear any comments thanks in advace.

Welcome and thanks for posting gman but I'm curious about one thing.  Exactly how old are you now?  I'm trying to understand your story.  Thanks again.

gman26, you do know that this The Skeptical Viewer website?
Doesn't sound very skeptical to me.
Maybe you should try the TAPS Forum.

In addition to what BD suggested above, you may also want to investigate the true meaning of what it means to be skeptical.
