Well, unless they also beamed in some Cell Towers…

Have to lean toward the hearing aid explanation, though doesn't appear to be listening to anyone.

A long time ago I saw a photo somewhere like this.  I wish I could find it again.  Looked to be maybe forties, and from what I remember it looked like a bunch of people leaving a party, and one dude in the back looked like he was talking on a cell phone.  I'm sure it's just appearances being deceiving, but it sure looked stange.

I feel sure that a civilization capable of time travel would have some type communication through the chronological dimensions.
A random 'Quantum Leap' scenario is just not feasible.
Like the new manned Mars mission.
"We can get you there, but we can't get you back".
Kinda' sucks for the participants.

In the video it appears as though the individual is speaking into something.
I also concur about the feet appearing strange.

The basis of cell phone technology occurred in the 1880's & 90's
It was very crude but it would work across town.

Interesting read.

Our new friend, Big Les/BSHistorian from the Vampire Killing Kit thread did a piece on this as well.  That can be found HERE.

No, not that one.  This was years ago.  That's still a cool photo.

I haven't seen the photo either.  I agree with Wallydraigle, it's kind of cool.  At first glance, it looks good.  But upon closer examination, it's a fake.  Are we discussing why the picture is fake or are we just bypassing that?

Looks like this is getting to be a pretty popular topic so Discovery News sheds some light (which we already knew)
