Undecidedit was october 1, 1981 and i was living in forest park, ga. i was reclining in bed looking at a childs jesus, black and white, coloring book that i had just bought that day. for whatever reason i took my finger and was smoothly running my finger on the jesus pictures when i discovered that i was making pastel  colors appear on the black and white lined pictures of jesus. i wasn't bleeding and the pictures didn't have any kind of chemistry on them. the paper didn't contain any kind of chemistry. i am now 59 years old.

That's pretty crazy…  Are you SURE it wasn't one of those "paint with water" books?  My daughters used to LOVE those things, as did I – they could "paint" all day without making a mess!

Otherwise, I really hope you saved them – James Randi's million bucks could be yours!

Would you give me a 10% "finders fee?"  Wink

Hi spooked! You seem to have quite a collection of memories of doing extraordinary things, or have them happen to you. If you can still do these things at will, then you should really contact your local skeptical society to test your abilities.

Like your plant story, or the tale of the mysterious growl, it's impossible to say why you have this particular memory. Memories can be unreliable. I don't think we have nearly enough information to offer any kind of answer, or even to know what questions to ask.

I hope you find what you're looking for.

@ spooked

I don't think an event like you just described would happen for no reason. I just don't think Jesus would arbitrarily let you color a picture of him to kill time. Perhaps it was meant to be a message. Should something like this happen in the future, keep it.  Perhaps in time you could figure it out.

NOW. Having said all that, I don't really think God works that way. If this, as you say, happened in 1981 – that's 27 years ago. You had to be a young child.  Memory is an odd thing. There have been events that I'd  have staked my life on as happening a certain way, only to discover that I had forgotten a small, but important, detail. And these didn't happen anywhere near 27 years ago.

While I'm not saying you're absolutey wrong in the way you remember this, I just think you have to consider the possiblity that time has taken its toll on your memory of this particualr event.

I….I'm thinking.

Spooked I have to agree with you on remembering. I remember clearly of an experience 30+ yrs ago. And I have also had things happen that were extraordinary, but I do not  remember them clearly, and I believe because I chose not remember them. Face it, our minds are full of wonder. Scientist will probably prove ghost are real or not before they even tap into whats really going in our heads.
