No problem. : )

I'd honestly sleep better knowing it was a mostly scripted, pro-wrestling type event, myself.   Fun is fun, but episodes like "I am Six" and especially "The Sickness", if real, mean they are actively putting innocent (if rather gullible and stupid) people's lives in danger, not to mention their mental health.

With regard to the former, for those that may not have seen it:  A family complains of a haunting, a "presence" that causes all occupants in the house to experience nausea, dizziness, and piercing headaches, getting worse the longer they remain in the house.

You've already guessed what was really wrong with the house by now–almost anyone with half a brain has.  But no.

It took the geniuses of PRS three whole days, and one of their own team members being sent to the emergency room for them to consider that it _might_ be carbon monoxide poisoning.

Lo' and behold when they finally stop using their little FLIR cameras and EMF detectors to diddle themselves and get a real inspector to come……dangerously leaky flue.

At least the infamous "Farty Exorcism" ep was funny–this, if real, is very much not.

Hi… I wanted to reply back to your thoughts on the "I am 6" fiasco? I am still wondering myself about what I watched. The only question I have is the Lorranne Warren input. Why would she risk being put in the mix of all that if she thought it would come back to bite her? This is the only thing I keep going back to… I was wondering if anyone else had the same question? If so please let me know/because I really do not know what to think about that whole thing!!except that I made my husband watch it with me and he has not let me forget it (ha-ha).I must say it has made me appreciate those ghost hunters (TAPS) even more… Sincerely-Denise

To me, PS is simply a grand farce.Yell

Ryan thinks he knows so much about ghostly activity and investigation, but his actions prove otherwise.

And of course, ALL of his investigations are conducted in romanist-religion homes, and all the people he calls on for help are romanists.

I have had personal experience with ghostly activity, and his rendering of how to deal with them is an insult to real paranormal investigators and real psychics.

Sprinkling so-called 'holy water' does nothing to repel ghosts; in fact, it often makes the hauntings worse. Putting faith in tap water with salt added to it, supposedly blessed by a priest just doesn't cut it!

Ryan always prays to dead 'saints' as well, which is a no-no in real ghost circles.Frown

Hello Elaine.  I completely understand your frustration with PS and especially this particular episode.  However, if I may…I have a couple of questions for you…

Sprinkling so-called 'holy water' does nothing to repel ghosts; in fact, it often makes the hauntings worse. Putting faith in tap water with salt added to it, supposedly blessed by a priest just doesn't cut it!

If putting faith in tap water with salt added to it and supposedly being blessed by a priest apparently doesn't cut it…then why would using it "makes the hauntings worse?"

Ryan always prays to dead 'saints' as well, which is a no-no in real ghost circles

What exactly is a "ghost circle?"  If dead 'saints' is a no-no…which living saints should be prayed to and from what specific religion?  And…what do you believe that this does?  Also…why would praying to Saints, living or dead, or any other religious icon be better than using Holy Water?

I have had personal experience with ghostly activity, and his rendering of how to deal with them is an insult to real paranormal investigators and real psychics.

I am quite interested in the "real psychics" aspect of what you are saying.  Exactly what sort of testing do you submit your psychics to in order to distinguish between the "real" ones from the…fake ones?

Thank you in advance if you choose to answer my questions.  And I am not trying to be argumentative or anything of the sort.  I just really wish to know…

I would just really like to know, too.  Some citing of why certain beliefs work and certain other ones don't would be very nice to see here.  Examples?  Revenant's question is a good one regarding the Holy Water…if it's just water, then it must be of no consequence. Yet, if it is of no consequence, then why would it exacerbate the situation?
