"Hmmm…I think the folks who edit Paranormal State like it when I drop "the F bomb" because they always leave it in!"
"I informed the court on my original paperwork that I am a psychic/medium and on TV. I was STILL called for jury duty…???"
"Just watched the "Soul Collector" episode of Paranormal State. It was a pretty intense case! The spirit told me to choke Ryan with my scarf!"
Wish he had choked Ryan.
Edit: Thanks, alicat for getting me addicted to Twitter! Now I will need an intervention.

Actually, I found this one quite interesting. If we go with the premise that Chip is truly a psychic and a medium, here is a short list of what he couldn't do:
Obviously, he couldn't be on a jury since he would "know" who did it.
He wouldn't have to vote because he would know who won.
Speaking of that, he wouldn't need to watch any sports on TV because he would know who won the game. Then again, something tells me that Chip really doesn't watch much sports on TV…not that I'm judging.
He could never be surprised by people throwing him a surprise party.
He would never be caught for speeding because he would know where the state troopers were hiding.
Man…being a psychic would really take the fun out of things…
Then again, if Chip were truly psychic…why didn't he know that he would STILL be called for jury duty? You know, just asking…

@ Revenant: I guess the one thing he could have done, but didn't do, was buy that Mega powerball lottery ticket or pick that 50-1 Kentucky Derby winner. Gee, he could become richer than Bill Gates or Warren Buffett , wonder why he hasn't?

That is what I would do, but maybe his spirit guide won't let him?

I don't believe Chad "helped it" move either. I believe Chad moved it. A very subtle, yet very telling difference. The entire incident is far too shady to be considered paranormal.

Chip announced on Twitter: "I can now officially announce that Psychic Kids has been renewed for Season Two! We are currently taping new episodes…"
I was so hoping that A & E would NOT do this.

Hannah, I know exactly what you mean about A&E renewing that show. Please don't get me started on how these shows are allowed to exploit people! My views on this would probably get me banned from the forums! LOL!
In other news…Just out of curiosity, I "followed" Chip on Twitter today. Imagine my surprise when I logged on to my email and found that Chip is now following me! What do you guys make of that? I'm not too familiar with Twitter, so I'm not sure if this is normal or not. I haven't had any other "celebrity" follow me, so is this normal?

I think it might be normal. I do not twitter, though I did set up an account. From what I have read about Chip from around the net he can be vindictive. For instance, if you were to send him a twitter about your opinion on Psychic Kids, you might possibly get a nasty email from him. Usually he threatens to a. contact authorities, or b. sue you. Or, he may simply block you.
You do not have to have an account to look at other twitter accounts. So you can check on him when you are off twitter.

ghostgirl74, that's pretty standard. Most twitterers will follow the people following them. For members with locked accounts, it's the only way for someone to tell when they're sending you a tweet. (That last sentence is scaring me.)

OK. Thanks! So what you're telling me is that Chip Coffey isn't going to blurt out some deep, dark secret from my past to the world at large? Good to know!

Um, not necessarily. Chip's powers as both a psychic and medium are largely untested. We do not know the limits or boundaries of the "gifts" in which he possesses. So, in theory, he could blurt out some deep, dark secret from your past. Send him money immediately so that he doesn't…

Chip is the only reason I Watched, Parnormal State. He makes me laugh. I noticed many of the same people show up on diffrent shows. Like the guy from UFO Hunters who wears the cap and sun glasses most of the time. ( can't think of his name ) He must be an expert on many things. Or is there a shortage Paranormal experts so the same people show up on different programs .

Captain Crazy…um, er…I mean Bill Birnes is the name that you are after. You can find all things Bill at his website:
http://ufomag.com/
Actually, I hope "UFO Hunters" finds a new home. Watching Bill go off the deep end was mesmerizing in a way.

A while back, I made the argument that you, everyone at SV, and myself are, amongst other things, paranormal experts. So no shortage at all. I think the ones on TV are just better connected. Anyway, when you get the chance, check out that thread.

SV are not paranormal experts. Judging by the ones on tv, to be an expert you must conclude something is paranormal at least 70% of the time. Over use of logic also disqualifies an expert. Sorry. Keep up the good work.

I saw an episode of paranormal kids. Chip took them on a ghost hunt. Told them there was a ghost. Said he thought the ghost wanted them to leave it alone. Cut to the next day. Chip says l"Lets all write down our feelings from the ghost." Everyone wrote down some version of the ghost wanted to be left alone. Chip congratulated everyone on being psychic. It seems the show's editors either weren't smart enough to edit out Chip telling them what the ghost thought or he said it so many times they couldn't edit it out. Maybe Chip should join Uri on his island and leave these kids alone. Why are people so gullible?

I just can't make myself watch Paranormal Kids. I feel like it's some kind of abuse. I just don't know what kind.
