Has anyone seen the most recent PS where they are looking for the "Jersey Devil"? First of all if they have any credibility at all why are they searching for a legend. The image captured was obviously a deer and the infared distortion just made it look like it had wings. I will just watch it for the comedic aspect of the show for now on.

I didn’t see the whole episode, but here’s a link to the IR pictures:

Personally, I think it was a hoax. The image looks like the profile from artist paintings. And the show Paranormal State isn’t exactly known for their level of skepticism.

@jcarton – The forum discussion you are referring to was regarding 3 New Jersey episodes that aired in 2009. The Jersey Devil episode just aired this past Tuesday 2/9/10. I couldn't even bring myself to watch it.

After looking at those thermal images , I'm sorry I did not watch it- I could have used a good laugh (to help get me through all of this snow!!! Over 50 inches in less than a wek.)

Hmmm…very curious indeed. I'd like a couple of FLIR experts to take a look at that footage. The "Spidey-senses" are tingling over this one. I'm not saying the footage is doctored, I have no evidence. But man…it just doesn't pass the smell test, does it?
I have to believe in the coming weeks that a couple of experts will take a look at this and post their findings somewhere on the web. If anyone does come across something of this nature, please post a link in this thread. It should be interesting to see what they have to say.

I have used a thermal imagers in the past and have seen warm bodies transfer some heat to nearby structures. I think what is being shown here is nothing more than a deer peeking under a conifer tree branch. This would be easier to debunk if they would have shown regular video of the actual site of the so-called "Jersey Devil" sighting.

It….was silly, but far from the silliest for them, I think.
The Gassy Exorcism comes to mind for unintentional hilarity:

1:30 or so….good lord, their editor should be shot….or given a medal. He needs Immodium AD, not a priest.
(I know it's his nose, but….still….)
That and the one episode that INFURIATED me, entitled "The Sickness" where the haunted family was experiencing classic, OBVIOUS signs of Carbon Monoxide poisoning, and it was the LAST thing they considered. It took one of their team members being rushed to the hospital before it dawned on them. I mean…people's lives are in danger.
This is all assuming there was some honesty in how the show's storyline was put together, of course, but…even as a fictionalized account of _anything_ that they succumb to checking for HIGH EMF before the presence of a dangerous and deadly gas leak–is just enough to make me want to kick the creators in the nuts.
