S01E01A - Lost Souls of the Asylum
Curious that the show and the investigators reports don't seem to be consistant -
Here's the case files from the two PPA investigations -
http://www.theppa.net/Case%20Files_files/Web%20Case%20Files.html
… modified the link so it dosen't screw up the thread :( It's the business in Lackawanna County, PA with an investigation in 2008 and another in 2009
Neither of them mention anything about the building having been used for animal research.
From the 2nd case file -
"
Mark, Hawk and Bob – while present in the “couch room” on the 3rd floor, Mark made a comment that if anyone was present with them to call Ben, the team dog, out in to the hall way and make him react somehow. Ben stood up, walked out into the hallway and then ran down the main stairwell to the basement where Lauren and Ken were. The timing was unusual as for the fact that Ben is a trained police K9 and never leaves his handler, Hawk, except for this event.
Lauren and Ken – While present in the basement, Lauren asked if there was anyone with them to do something to let them know they were there. Ken then made a statement that they could talk to Ben and within seconds, Ben came running down the stairwell to their location.
"
Why would Mark suggest Casper call Ben " out into the hallway" ?
Curious that Ken, in the basement, would suggest to Casper that he should talk to Ben, who was on the third floor at the time.
Is it possible ( probable ) that Ben was able to hear Ken in the basement say ( call out ) his name and ran to that location ?
Steve, the building owner, says " During Mark's investigation WE saw Ben come flying out from the bottom of the staircase at the basement level and then he , Ya know, took a right and sprinted all the way down the hall towards the animal research facility"
There is no mention in the case file of the client being present during the investigation and again, absolutely no mention of any animal research facility.
I suspect that there is MUCH in the way of "dramatic re-creation" going on in this show.
