Will the Amityville story ever die? It has been proven to have many inconsistencies within the story yet shows constantly insist that it was haunted by demonic spirits and regurgitate the same false claims by the Lutzes.  The Lutzes and Jay Anson seemed to have embellished the story to sell books, but researchers for years have poked many holes in the story. Now there is a show on the Bio channel called Mysteryquest that in one episode is trying to find out if the hauntings at Wolfe Manor are the same as the ones that occurred at the infamous 112 Ocean Ave. house. How can they be the same if you are basing your comparison on a fictional story?

Sadly, there were 6 people brutally murdered in the house; however, the Lutzes did not experience any demonic activity after they moved in like Ed and Lorraine Warren said exists there.  People that have lived in that house since the Lutzes are claiming to have had no paranormal activity yet gullible people continue to disturb their life because of the stupidity shown by TV shows that continually say it happened. What, did the demons decide to leave on their own accord because they were found out?

Well, you know, I've seen the the show isn't really about Amityville at all or that the Amityville haunting has any connection to the location in the show. Noone in the show claims that, simply that here be demons. Like there was alleged in one of the biggest hoaxes in modern american history, Amityville. Amityville is simply a selling point, advertising (false of course). Amityville has zilch with the show to do, but somehow they manage tu squeeze a mention of it in the epsiode and in the epsiode title.

It's about ghost/demon hunting (a la GH) and frankly is so ridiculous in content that it is excruciating to watch. Hot spots are demon wortexes some laser-gizmo is purported to detect and catch ghosts on film. Add to that a medium and the circus is complete. It's mindbogglingly ridiculous and make GH look like Carl Sagan in comparison.

However, Ben Radford appears and makes good debunk of an incident , even though he is no exactly given much room or time. Still, any skepticism is better than none.

Mysteryquest is really a ridiculous show, showcasing quite a few nutters to be frank. Their episode on the Zodiac is about the weakest and stupidiest show I've ever watched. Their "proof" against who they claim as the Zodiac is laughable, some of it isn't even circumstantial, it's simply rumours and biased conjecture. Still it is a bit fun to because of the insanity in some of the claims and how your skeptic mind really gets to work. You simply can't watch and not be skeptical, you are urged by the stupidity to do so. And to research how, when and where  all this craziness comes form. It truly is a circus.

When in doubt… figure it out!
