First I want to thank Mary for a comment she posted that made me think of this…

Every large city that has its' own television station usually showed Friday night slasher movies waaaay back in the 70's. I grew up just outside of Indianapolis, and our slasher film host was Sammy Terry (cemetary? get it? lol) who had as his sidekick a big black rubber spider named George, who would squeak in response to whatever Sammy was saying. It was always thrilling to get to stay up until midnight, eating Jiffy Pop and watching Sammy and George, and then I would always have to sneak into bed with my mom because I was too scared to sleep in my own room!

I'm interested in hearing about as many "local" creepy movies hosts as possible…the cheesier the better! :)
