Came across this show Saturday night while doing my psychology homework. Anyone have anymore information or thoughts on this show? From what I could understand it's two mediums visiting a haunted place. They do two investigations….one during the day and one at night. Didn't watch much more pass that because (1.) it was boring and (2.) I was focusing on my psychology.

I couldn't actually find a webiste for the show, just differnt sites posting the same article over and over.
Any additionial information would be very much appreciated.

I saw that too. Since I’m not much into mediums and psychics on these type shows I lost interest as well, looks like every station is coming out with their own brand of paranormal programming lol. Here’s a little info I found on it:
The Learning Channel (TLC) has added a four-part series called "Ghost Intervention" to its programming schedule for winter, 2009. "Ghost Intervention" jumps on the paranormal activity bandwagon, featuring a case manager and mediums that investigate haunted houses and offer their psychic impressions to empower homeowners.
TLC's new Saturday show, "Ghost Intervention," highlights beautiful, gifted, young women who try to help homeowners understand why their homes are haunted. So far, the cast has included case manager Raiya Davison, and two mediums, Sierra Campbell and Dawn Clare. The fourth member of the team is Tiffany Johnson. Johnson is an ordained minister who specializes in tarot card readings, holistic therapy and new age spirituality.
The format of "Ghost Intervention" on TLC illustrates the home owners and friends of the family discussing their paranormal experiences. Then, case manager Davison and psychics Campbell and Clare discuss their psychic conceptions of the family and the home en route to the site. The psychics get impressions of spirits residing on the property before entering the home itself. The next move is to compare their spiritual impressions with the homeowner's claims. Sometimes, a night vigil is performed.
The sixty minute premier of TLC's "Ghost Intervention" began on December 12, 2009, with "Message from Beyond." In this episode, the all-female crew investigated paranormal activity in a home in Massachusetts, where ghosts harassed a member of the family in the basement. From there, the "Ghost Intervention" crew traveled to Pennsylvania to discover that a home was built on a Native American burial ground.

I really have nothing against New Agism or the like but that show was abso boring. Maybe it will pick up steam but I thought TLC focused on unusual families? Maybe they are trying to go into a different format but maybe they should try something else.
Ffrom what little I watched, it came off as forced and stuff just like any other psychic "performing" on any of the other many shows.

This is another Pilgrim Production which, to me, throws up a red flag. Plus the fact that they are, so far, following the trail that GH has already blazed makes me skeptical.

avidmike,
I'm not really why this being another Pilgrim Production should throw up a red flag. Pilgrim is one of the most prolific realty show production companies in LA. Here's a link to a June 2009 article on Craig Piligian. As you can see, Pilgrim has a variety of entertainment shows in production. Paranormal shows are popular and Pilgrim, which started the craze and garnered so much success with GH, has only a few in their portfolio. You have to realize that they are merely producing what is popular and are giving the networks what they want and that is viewership and brand recognition.

I guess that, to me, being Pilgrim throws up a flag in that we know what we're getting into. More drama, more stuff poured out for the masses, and forget gathering anything that will actually help the field :(
@nicki_d No, it's not quite like that…that was a bit cleaned up :)

Hmmm…psychology homework. So one can assume that you are in college. Using what you've learned in psychology, what are your thoughts on mediums in general? Please answer in essay form and yes, this will contribute to your final grade…

I am not against the show because it is "boring". GH is boring too usually. For it to be exciting you would have to see "real" ghosts all the time! Of course you don't, so shows like GH manufacture stuff to keep you on the edge of your seat.
But mediums? You couldn't pay me to watch unless there were some explosions, fighting, and toilets.

Toilets
Had many a paranormal experience involving one, wouldn't use one of those Ghost Sniffers that Dr. Venkman had in Ghostbusters around one though.
Could lead to false readings.

Come on now. You must not be a fan of action adventure movies. They are not complete without a toilet blowing up or being destroyed somehow.
Good stuff!
