You know, if he took along Miley the show would be a hit, UFO's or not.

Knew there had to be a 'basement' involved somewhere.
Hmm, wonder if I could get my own show on SyFy with myself and the android ghost radar app. Hmm.

Dear god, this thing's real. I thought you guys were kidding. It does make a twisted kind of sense; Billy Ray Cyrus has had so much success with Miley that he can essentially say, "Hey, my son's into UFOs, and that stuff is big right now. Give me a television show." But it seems like a parody in so many ways.
On the other hand, if the show really does take a skeptical approach (a REALLY skeptical approach) then this might actually be a good thing. People trust country singers more than academics, so they might actually make skepticism more popular. It's pretty clear that it's not taking the subject very seriously, but that might not be a bad thing. It's being produced by Peacock Productions, which is NBC's internal production company.
I won't hold my breath, though. Plus, I don't see it listed anywhere officially quite yet.

I like how they freely use the term "music superstar". Funny, I thought Billy Ray was a one hit wonder that had to come back and mend his "achy breaky" financial woes with his daughter. At first I thought this was a joke, but then I thought about it and to be honest this show couldn't be as bad as FoF or Beast Legends! I see this possibly lasting, at the most, two seasons. I forsee FoF, Beast Legends, and this show to be a two and done for SyFy.

One-hit wonder? Ummm, okay.
We won't really know until we see this. I had high hopes for Beast Legends because they brought in the right mix of people. I mean, FINALLY, a comic book artist…that's what these shows have been missing. Of course, those hopes were dashed at 8:02 PM (show started at 8:00) It's already slipped almost off SciFi's programming. Though still listed on my schedule for Thursday nights, those slots have been replaced with additional episodes of DT. It's possible that it was moved to after midnight as my schedule showed that a week or two ago, but quite frankly I haven't cared enough to stay up that late and confirm it's existence.
As far as Billy…it will depend upon the format of the show, just like all these others. I'm not sure they can pull something together that will be interesting and testable, or if it will be like another run of Ancient Aliens.
I kind of hope they keep FoF on to be honest. I've never had such good laughs as when watching and reviewing that show! As bad as it is, it does give us material to work with as far as honing our skills!

Musically Billy Ray is a one hit wonder. Achy Breaky Heart is the only one he did that I remember being a hit. After that though he got popular as an actor and then Miley's career took off with him still making money on straight to DVD releases. As far as him and his son doing anything paranormal, I just don't buy it. Like was stated above, if it has a really strong skeptical approach then it might be okay.

For some people, the 60s never ended! Kinda surprised…depending upon traffic it's almost 11 hours from Haight-Ashbury. Woulda thought it mighta been closer.

A few years ago, I saw an episode of his television program "Doc" where he played a doctor. Yes, he played a country doctor who moved to the big city!
If most viewers can suspend belief over that, they can suspend belief over anything.
