Capitalizing on the Harrison Ford movie coming out, AA starts it's new season with "Aliens and the Old West" in which they talk about Aurora, TX, petroglyphs in Utah, a creature emerging from a lake in California, and cowboys in Arizona firing at a large, metallic craft in the air.
Sounds like they haven't lost their touch and should provide some thought-provoking entertainment! Aliens and the Old West "airs" at 10pm Eastern this coming Thursday on the History Channel.

Listened to a bit of an interview with Giorgio last night. The main problem I see with his stuff is that he is all over the board. Everything can be attributed to these ancient visitors, there must have been a lot of them around back in the day!
One very interesting thing he said, and I'm paraphrasing here, was:
He indicated that really all they were doing was raising questions and what ifs. He said that if someone disproved the Ancient Astronaut Theory he'd be the first to say that it was a good ride but now time to move on. But, he also said that that will never happen because the Ancient Astronaut Theory can never be disproved.
In a way he is right, it will never be disproven to him. Additionally, when you consider all the variations and possibilities he puts forth in show after show, he can always fall back on one of his other theories if one does get disproven. Infinite game of whack-a-mole.
Regarding the texts that he quotes sometimes he indicated that just because people can't find them doesn't mean they don't exist. And if you twitter him asking for one he will tell you how to find it…if he sees the request.

Never heard of the cowboys firing at any metal craft in Arizona, but have heard of the Texas story.
Supposedly some sort of metal craft crashed at Aurora ,Texas in the 1890s,1900s, and the occupant of said craft was killed. The towns folk buried the "alien" in the town's cemetery. There maybe a connection with the cowboy story in regards to this.During this time period, there was a wave of sightings of flying airships.
Frank Edwards mentions this in one of his books, and i believe Charles Fort also wrote about as well.
In a couple of instances ,oberservers saw people operating the crafts, and had an encounter with these folks.
However, the operators of these airships were not described as Greys, etc.but as rather normal looking people.
The pictographs I assume were mentioned in regards to supposedly being depictions of aliens.
As far as Giorgio and his statement,in a way it makes sense.
Besides, not to sound like a religious nut now, but, the Book of Genesis mentions how the Sons of God found the Daughters of Men,pleasing, and came down and mated with them, producing the giants and such. Also from them we got technology and learned crafts, etc.
Think the Book of Enoch mentions something on this, and there is some thought that something happend in the distant past to spead up the evolution and developement of mankind. So we were no longer dragging our knuckles as we walked or whatever ancient man did before he made tools and cave paintings. Was this with the help of The Watchers, ancient aliens, who knows.

Or possibly man gave this ability to man. An accidental use of a tool was all it took. That usage gave other evolving primates the idea and with multiple beings trying things, it took off. Chimps have been seen independently using tools. Rocks to crush nuts. A stick to test the depth of water. All it takes is for one to recognize the use of it and then it's (pardon the pun) "monkey see, monkey do" As more monkeys try it, new techniques are developed and refined and technology develops.
Edited: As for cowboys and aliens… http://www.space.com/12474-cow…..-ufos.html

One of the most amazing shows ever, btw :) So glad someone mentioned this!
I saw Cowboys and Aliens over the weekend. Nothing special. Basically like any other alien movie only more horsies, South Dakota/Badlands-esque scenery, and social commentary concerning the role of Native Americans.
As a science fiction movie, I thought the concept was pretty cool, but not executed very well in Hollywood form. As the topic for a show based on theory and presenting such things as fact, well, I'd rather stick to the lackluster summer movie.
