I know there is a thread here about the "A Haunting" series, but I have questions/thoughts on one particular episode.
This involved the story of some teens who supposedly had some very weird and unsettling occurrences in Dartford Cemetery in Green Lake, WI. Seeing apparitions, hearing voices, being pushed off a mausoleum plus some apparent hallucinations re: strange tombstones made for a very unnerving show. Or maybe it was just the mood I was in at the time.
I looked up this cemetery and I got the usual mix of believers (mostly ghost and/or paranormal websites) to it's all bunk (everything else). Now I'm quite the skeptic, but even if 1/3 of what these people say happened to them, it sounds extremely intriguing. Especially of interest is the crack that appeared in a mausoleum, after which supposed activity started being reported. This reminded me of the Black Mausoleum, where a man fell through a weak spot in the floor onto some old remains, and the place has been supposedly haunted ever since.
Anyone see this episode and/or know anything about the place? The witnesses seemed very credible, at least in that they believed something happened to them. It may have only been a good ghost story, but it sure freaked the **** out of me last night.

I saw the episode last night, too. It was pretty spooky. I don't know much about the show – I've just caught a few episodes now and then. They run it a lot around halloween, don't they? I've always assumed that they greatly dramatize what happened. Do you know anything about the show itself?

It's been claimed the show dramatizes a lot, though at its core it's supposed to be based on true accounts.

I know that "A Haunting in Connecticut" has the infamous Warrens' hand in its making and Lorraine Warren is currently being sued over her book (and now an upcoming movie) by the (then) young boys, claiming among other things, emotional damage inflicted by the Warrens and false information etc.
But in this episode, thankfully anything Warren was not involved. It was just a real spooky tale. Those interviewed seemed very sincere and IMO experienced something. The bluish-green tint around some of the stones may be due to a mineral used in their production.
Usually I just toss off episodes in this series but this one really got my attention–if only that it would make a good tale to tell around a campfire!
Glad someone felt it was spooky–thought it was just me and the state of my mind at the time!

Hey guys…I have seen every episode of "A Haunting"….it comes on daily on the discovery channel in the afternoons. There hasn't been any new episodes for over a year…don't know if they will have any more. I really enjoy the show….mostly for entertainment value. The stories are interesting and the production is well done. That particular episode is one of my favorites. It is pretty creepy….I especially thought those weird headstones that looked like people and kept moving from their original spots….creepy! I am also curious about this one location. I wish someone would check it out.

I was searching for a topic about "A Haunting"…. found it (2 months later). There is one thing about this show that is very entertaining, I call it "Find the beige bedspread". In nearly every episode, they use the same beige bedspread. I (being slightly disturbed) find this fascinating!!! Sometimes, it's used to cover a sofa. Sometimes it's thrown across someone's lap. Sometimes, it's actually on a bed. But still… it's on nearly every episode (must be low on budget $$$$). It is a shiny, beige/tan, quilted bedspread (I think queen size). Please, if you have a bedspread sighting, let me know lol.
I know this is unimportant, but it gives me a reason to watch the show.
