I always thought this was really cool non-lethal technology that has many uses.  It could be used to dispel rioters or for prison control or even police work if made into a hand-held device.   I remember watching 60 minutes when they had a segment on it once.  Apparently the military wasn’t that interested in developing it since they were more geared to lethal weapons, but maybe with this new administration they will fund it and we’ll see it produced.
