Migaloo is a pure white humpback whale and was just recently spotted near Australia. First seen in 1991, it's always a roll of dice if he is seen again.
Cryptomundo has some pretty good pictures of him (why a white humpback whale is featured at a cryptozoological website…no clue):

And if interested, here's Migaloo's "official" website…yes…he has an official website….:

The roll of the dice is due to whale hunting done by the Japanese whalers. If any have watched the show "Whale Wars" on Animal Planet, well, Migaloo is one of the whales that frequents the Antarctic Whale Sanctuary.

Wow! Thanks for the link Revenant. Interesting story and amazing pictures.
Learjet, I'd pay good money to take the whale watching trip to see Migaloo.

Well, it HAS been a rather slow day/week/month/etc for bonafide cryptowhatsits to post! :)

To Alicat…love the new icon. Now that's a dog with a little personality.
To Nosfer…I have to admit…the "new" icon made laugh.
To Learjet…I haven't seen it on any of the news stations that I typically watch. Everything that I've seen on it is online.

Thanks Revenant! I've copyrighted it now. I love Nosfer's icon as well. Between the two of us, we'll surely make you laugh!
I really love this story though. Gee, when we had the wayward whale swimming up the Delaware towards Trenton, I was disappointed I never saw that and it wasn't anywhere near as interesting as this one. It is really an amazing thing to see and nice to know it's still alive.
