For a previously undiscovered cave, it seemed to have a fairly decent entrance.

Yeah, good call on the entrance.

When they're seen walking through that entrance, it seems amazingly clear, doesn't it?  We can't see outside the "tomb" or tunnel because of the natural light.  Was the entrance sealed?  Did they have to dig to get at the entrance?  I don't care what Mr Collins "says"…I prefer video evidence of these things.

And they do an unbelievably terrible job in showing where the man-made tunnel ends and the cave system begins.  This is the key feature to the entire thing.

Another thing…if this thing is real, then why leave Egypt?  This is your meal ticket.  Sure, you'd have to get the Egyptian government involved, but so what?  Your name is already attached to it.  The discovery is yours.  They can send in eight thousand people into the cave system and discover hundreds of artifacts and you'll still get the credit for it.  Once it's verified, your books on it are the ones that will sell.  You'll be the one on the talk shows.  You'll be the one featured on specials and documentaries.  Why is it so secret?  And why do we get this incredibly bad video?

Overall, that entrance looked like a borrowed set from a bad SyFy film (is there another kind of SyFy film?).  Nothing really matches the tunnel to the cave system.  We have no evidence that those caves are even in Egypt.  And the secretive nature of this defies logic.  I'm not ready to call "shenanagins" on this quite yet…the the "sha" sound is starting to form…

When the video starts, the much larger line with the words "British explorer Andrew Collins" stood out.  I guess the other individuals aren't as important or "explorers" in his eyes as they got relegated to the second line and much smaller print.  I continue to believe that, under his definition, an explorer is anyone who steps out their door but I don't think any of us would put it on our resume, a book or even a video.

The well defined opening with debris inside for about 15' along with the high, straight walled pathway is rather odd and then they cut immediately to a cave?  Talk about no continuity, the video is so choppy in order to try to make a point, it's really quite laughable, especially when the person shooting this fell.  Sorry, to me that was funny.  The point of the video was "Hey kids, I wrote a book!  Please buy it and here's how."  Sound familiar?  Ugh!

I was also amused that he used a quote from Howard Carter at the end although I'll bet Carter wouldn't be so amused.  I'm guessing he's turning over in his grave right about now and wishing Collins actually got struck by that cobra.

Very, very cheesy.

Well, the man himself has spoken about Mr. Collins and his supposed "findings".

Dr. Hawass blogged on his own website and here's the link:

http://www.drhawass.com/blog/collins-cave-controversy

Here's what stands out, other than the obvious that people should actually do their research prior to making such a claim:

"The article reports that a huge system of tunnels and caves has been found; however, I can say that there is no underground cave complex at this site."

"Andrew Collins and Nigel Skinner-Simpson came to Egypt in order to rediscover the tomb. They thought that they were the first to fully explore the tomb although it had been found almost two centuries ago and has been explored and reported by many scholars."

"Giza is one of the most well studied sites in Egypt; it has been explored, mapped and recorded by many archaeologists, including myself. We know everything about this site as it currently stands, though new discoveries may come about through continued scientific excavation."

Still want to buy that Collins book?  I think not.

Dr. Hawass has been wasting money and labor on chambers and tombs that are completely irrelevant.  The most important discovery in all of Egypt is 4000 meters below the Great Pyramid.  There is no written record of it anywhere.  The Egyptians didn't build it and they didn't know it was there.  Dr. Hawass is going to feel like an idiot when it is finally uncovered.  it has been under him the whole time.  If he had listened to Billy Meier he would have discovered it years ago.

Is this the same Billy Meier that said if the US did not pull out Iraq by 2006 that two-thirds of the World's population would perish.
Is that the same one?

If this chamber has never been written about, how'd you find out?

Wow, we obviously have someone here that has more of an extensive background than Dr. Hawass.

Tell us exactly what your credentials are pacman3211. Undecided

I have to agree with BD.  If this is 4000 meters below the Great Pyramid and there is no written record of it, how exactly do you know anything about it at all?

Maybe you could clue us all in on this "discovery" and I'll be glad to alert Dr. Hawass.  I'm sure he'd appreciate your help. Laughing

I don't represent Billy Meier or have any association with him.  But he's smarter than Dr. Hawass or anyone on this board.  If you did just a bit of research on Billy Meier, you wouldn't need to ask questions like the one above.  And you wouldn't misquote him like blinddog did.
