After the demotion of Pluto, the solar system changed from one of nine planets to one of "eight planets and some really big rocks"  Are we about to go back to nine?

I saw that same story today.  There is a fair amount of disagreement as to its veracity.  But, the idea is interesting.  It is odd how much of the universe we have seen or discovered lately, yet are still unsure about the contents of our own solar system.

Most definitely.  We certainly do not yet know all there is to know about everything (or maybe even more accurately "We certainly do not yet know all there is to know about anything"!)  And on top of that, some of the things we thought we knew might not quite be what we thought.

It's Nibiru! Sorry, just had to. :P

The bad astronomy blog puts this into better perspective I think.

Part of the problem, as I understand it (and believe me, my understanding is limited), is that the 2 who are proposing this only took a sample of outer Oort Cloud comets.  They have yet to show any inner Oort Cloud comets were affected by the gravity of Tyche, and if it is as big as they claim then the inner Cloud should be affected as well.

Now, let's say it does exist.  Let's say something so massive as 4 times Jupiter has been sitting out there all along and we have never seen it.  Is this a possible explanation of "dark matter"?  What if billions and billions of these unobserved gas giants/failed stars exist?  I do not understand the mathematics behind the dark matter and dark energy theories, but wonder if this could be a possible explanation.

This was a topic on Coast to Coast last night in the first segment and I tried to listen to it.  I turned on the radio at 11 and the first portion was George talking to Richard Hoagland about the Tempel 1 impact

http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pa…..index.html

He tried telling us about how there was a supposed glitch at the receiver in Spain and this delayed the images that were being relayed.  Of course, this was on purpose so the journalists would all leave so that NASA could then doctor the photos.  Why?  Well, it should be obvious…comet Tempel 1 is in fact a 3-mile long ancient spaceship.  Has to be, it has layers.  I don't think even George was buying this.

Then some guy came on talking about Animal Planet getting hold of him and going to make a show on BigFoot which he had filmed for about 2 minutes with a thermal camera and it was white hot.  That is interesting in that a guy in a suit would probably be of a bit lower temperature since the suit would be clothing…however I have to wonder what the thermal settings were, if it was auto-ranging or not, etc  The BigFoot was enticed to a stump by a bar of ZagNuts, which I suppose is appropriate.

Then Stan Deyo (yep!) came on to talk about Planet X and a number of other things such as the recent sun activity and the solar activity in general.  He was actually quite accurate in what he was talking about viz-a-viz the flares etc  There was some 2012 stuff brought in (by George) and Stan of course did not say it was bunk.

What about Planet X?  Well, next thing I knew I was looking at the clock which said 11:58 and apparently nothing was recorded in my subconsciousness.  So as not to be a total loss, I did check a recap and apparently he went into Sitchin and Nibiru and talked about a predicted planet 250 AUs from the sun, that was internally heated so that people could live inside it.  Hmmm, maybe falling asleep wasn't such a bad idea afterall!

Ummm…brief anecdote.

A friend of mine works in a county Ag. Dept. in Northern California.  A few years ago someone came in with a report of crop circles…in a corn field.  They all had to go out, examine it and take samples.  The next day some guy claiming to be a UFO expert comes in and wants to interview them for a book he is writing.  Apparently the proof that this is an extra-terrestrial event is that there are these perfectly circular holes bored through the ears of corn…right through the husk and into the ear!  Perfectly round holes!

The resident entomologist explains that they look like perfectly normal insect damage from any one of several larvae that feed on corn and are known to bore through the husk.  This is dismissed because…they are perfectly round holes bored through the husk as if by some highly advanced technology.  My friend is asked to go on record that this is not a normal event and therefore must be due to some extra-ordinary intelligence's activity.  He declines.

A week later he is over at my house watching TV and there, on one of the History Channel's shows, is this same expert, giving his opinion on another unimpeachable piece of UFO evidence.

I wish I could remember who it was…not Giorgio, I think.  Cause him, I would remember.

Of course, it all makes cents now. :P

Not just Tempel 1 but all comets are alien space ships, powered by the stars like on SGU. NASA is of course communicating with them via stones where they swap minds in the bodies.
