If I didn't know that production simply copied that clip from when Brad was talking to the engineer, I'd suspect he had some serious attention problems.
But then again- he goes on to say "Japanese planes are smashing into the ship, torpedoes are hittin" when if he had been listening he would know one torpedo hit the ship and one Japanese plane smashed into it.
( Maybe he should be forced to carry a notepad on the walkthrough? )
