Don't forget the kitty half-time show.

I was rather surprised at the choice of dog investigators that they have.

BD – Now, I'm definitely going to watch that Puppy Bowl.

I too was a bit surprised.  The descriptions were almost laughable.  Gee, a small dog for small spaces?  'Ya think?  No, I say put a Scottish Deerhound or an Irish Wolfhound in the place and see how well he/she does.  At least they are sighthounds.

A "typical Jack Russell – very friendly and enthusiastic".  Now, I like Jack Russell Terriers (now known as a Parson Terrier) and actually owned one.  "Hard to reach areas such as attics and rugged terrain"?  From the Jack Russell Terrier Club's website:  "While outdoor activity and exercise is essential, the Jack Russell should never be permitted to roam unattended, even in the most remote country setting." and "Jack Russells can be very aggressive with other dogs, and in fact more than two should never be kept together unattended."  I guess we can see why they chose only one dog to work an investigation.

Now, the Siberian Husky. A dog bred for cold weather – Wow!  However, they then state "As typical with the breeds closer to their wolf cousins"?  For the record, the Siberian Husky is a domesticated pure bred dog and has been for many centuries. They were developed to be endurance sled dogs and used to herd reindeer.  The are not wolves or even part wolves and no closer to a wolf than any other dog.  And, they are not considered sight or scent dogs.  They are also not known as "tracking" dogs but "pack" dogs that carry on hikes not track.  At one year old and knowing how long it takes to train a tracker, this dog has no tracking capability whatsoever at such a young age.

The mind boggles!

Unfortunately, they followed the TAPS lead and investigated poorly (and that's being nice), but declared both places "in fact haunted." I'm still waiting for one single fact proving such a claim.

Another TAPS group with a trailer full of equipment (supplied by the production company and very apparent when they had to tell the underlings how to investigate, even though the underlings have been with them for 2 yrs…. Strange) that they clearly have no clue how to use and don't get me started on the absolute complete lack of ANY scientific methodology. Just another bunch of TV paid "reality" actors scurrying around declaring cold spots and "something touched me."

Actually, I think the equipment demos were more for the viewing audience and to add 'content' to the show.

That said, if they were going to pay for 'actors' they would have gotten actors, not people who (besides the brothers) were obviously deer in headlights around the cameras.

A lot of people make that mistake because of the resemblance, but you're right. Just because they look a little similar doesn't mean that they're any closer. They were bred for cold places, like a lot of wolves, they are great for endurance, like a lot of wolves, but that doesn't mean that they're personalities or relations are any closer to wolves than a Labrador. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to see the show. Does anyone know if there will be an encore?

Just sittin' here at work. Staring out the window. Mentally turning the knobs that control my brain wavy-thingies.

Does the name 'Everyday Paranormal' appear to be an oxymoron to anyone other than myself. Maybe not.

You haz wurk on Dec 28? That not fair.

In the world of spiritualists, there are spirits everywhere all the time. Their view is that the spirit world kind of runs along with ours, only is invisible and undetectable – most of the time. Just because we can't see them doesn't mean they are not there.  Psychics, sensitives and mediums can sense this invisible world and the inhabitants. "Normal" people can also with EMF meters, IR and thermal cameras. Therefore since spirits are there all day everyday Hyundai, "Everyday Paranormal" makes purrfect cents. Tongue out
