The Georia Aquarium opened in 2005 … so how haunted could it be ?
It seems that the ghosts have attached themselves to the cups and bowls recovered from the Titanic, and have taken their hauntings on the road -
http://www.ajc.com/services/content/metro/stories/2008/10/27/spooky.html
This will be interesting simply to hear any possible explanations, like why a ghost would chose to become attached to a soup bowl or toothpick holder with the logo of the White Star Lines on it ?

I still think they would have better luck investigating the actual location :)
Jason: Gocher fishing line on you G?
Grant: Yep, right heeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!
Jason: Hmmm, you shoulda probably removed the hook and worm first

I previously posted the following in the forum in response to this link Hannah supplied:
http://www.ajc.com/services/content/living/stories/2008/10/27/georgia_aquarium_ghosts.html
There are several problems which I see with this place.
First, the aquarium spokesperson's admisson that the decision to invite them to investigate was officially guided by “of course” the proximity to Halloween speaks volumes to me. Then there was the statement about the stories of ghostly encounters following the exhibit. Apparently the Miami spokesman from the previous location e-mailed a response and "rebuffed any ghost stories during the exhibit’s South Florida stay." This is hardly a ringing endorsement of these "stories”. In fact, here's a link regarding a Florida group's investigation from 2002 with an update in 2006 the end. The Florida group apparently submitted the article to this publication and not the mainstream news. This article mentions news reports from Chile, Great Britain and Argentina however I can find no such reports. However, notice the Georgia team's reports are entirely different (except from the obligatory "shadows") from the Florida team. http://www.orlandohauntings.com/titanic.html
As far as the hair incident by a “volunteer”, if I remember correctly, aren’t the air circulation vents generally in these places on the wall or ceiling above or close to your head?
The Georgia aquarium has "many species that inhabit one of the world’s largest collections of sea life" and the investigators state "One recording device purportedly picked up a high-frequency response inaudible to human ears, but audible when passed through the team’s equipment." I'm thinking on one hand you have sea life in an enclosed building which is closed down and quiet for the night . . . . on the other hand you have inaudible sounds. Last time I "heard" sea life communicates primarily through sound which is inaudible to the human ear.
For the upcoming GH visit, here is a link to a pdf layout of the aquarium. Looks like the exhibit is on the second floor of the aquarium. http://www.georgiaaquarium.org/media/pdf/GAIVisitorMap09.pdf
Also, the report of investigators being "rewarded with purported recordings …." and the conclusion that not only was the Titanic exhibit a "spirit dwelling" but so was another part of the building says to me that this is good aquarium marketing. Evidently, this has now resulted in the Georgia Investigators becoming involved in a working relationship with the aquarium and the aquarium is now being featured on an episode on GH. Here's an excerpt from the “events” section of the aquarium website:
Georgia Aquarium invites you to relive history and continue the quest for unlocking the Titanic's mysteries. Join us as we dine on the First Class Titanic Last Meal, and explore the Titanic Aquatic exhibition. For the more adventurous Titanic enthusiasts, Roswell Georgia Paranormal Investigators will give an overview of how their group attempts to document cases of paranormal activity. Then, you will have an opportunity to test your ghost-hunting skills as they guide you through Titanic Aquatic. Learn more about the Last Meal menu, evening itinerary and join us.
Cost for Members: Dinner – $90; Dinner & Paranormal Experience – $115; Paranormal Experience (no dinner) – $20 Cost for Non-Members: Dinner – $100; Dinner & Paranormal Experience – $125; Paranormal Experience (no dinner) – $30

I looked over the articles you so kindly provided, and, geez that pic of an orb was…..really dumb.
So all the reports including clothes being tugged and such are enough proof that the exhibit has "spirits". If this is the same exhibit my husband and I saw several years ago, it was very moving but nothing of a paranormal nature was ever reported. Of course we were there in the daytime with a lot of other visitors.
I think Alicat is spot on about the high frequency calls of sea creatures. Maybe J & G will pick up a lot of interesting EVPs of marine animals. Now THAT would make for an interesting show.
Next week's show should really be a hoot. Especially since in an interview with Jay and Grant posted elsewhere, Grant seems to be unsure whether he was at the Titantic exhibit or not. Poor man's memory must be failing

$90; Dinner & Paranormal Experience
Soooo…are they guaranteeing the paranormal experience, then? Sounds like it's included with the price.
Yup, just more of GH's variety of a Stimulus Package to the Aquarium.

I especially like this one:
"Be alert for any possible messages the ghost may have, for example, winning lottery numbers"
Wonder how many ghosts have given out winning lottery numbers? Can this ghost visit me, pretty please????
Also:
- Never open yourself up to any ghost, since you never know what their true intentions are. If the problem is too much for you to handle, seek professional help.
Definitely agree. We all know ghosts have an agenda. Do they mean professional help as in psychologist or psychiatrist? Or maybe call the Paranormal State gang in?
Perhaps a better question would be: who wrote that crap? Boy, am I tempted to "edit" it. Note that the source is listed as http://www.unlockedmind.com Sounds like somebody lost their key….
This one is definitely being bookmarked.

Revenant, thank you! What a hoot!
"pay attention to any objects you bring into the house. Try to keep a written inventory of such objects if something should happen to you so others can locate possible haunted objects to get rid of them."
Does this mean everything? Mail, groceries, . . .think of all the different things that come into your home on a daily basis. Sounds like "you" won't be around to help locate the possible haunted objects. Where are "you"? –in another dimension?
Check out the other links:
How to Exorcise Demons
"This article will make you an expert on exorcisms. Get some basic training. Or contact a priest or someone who works in that field." I always wanted to be an expert at something!
"Make sure the possessed person is saved, or the demon might kill them as they exit their body." Better tell Ryan and Chip.
How to Live in a Haunted House
"Try to cook/prepare period meals that were popular in the past." Have a dinner party for your ghosts.
"Take a well-built guard dog like German shepherd with you into the house." Remember a badly-built guard dog will not do.
How to Solve the Ouija Board Mystery
"When playing with friends, make sure all of you wear blindfolds and, if possible point a camcorder so that you can review the answers you get while answering questions." Huh?! if possible?
How to Develop Psychic Abilities
"Listen. The act of listening is important in increasing psychic awareness. . ." That is how Chip does it; he listens to the information the producers give him.

I dunno, I'm still on the fence with this one (ghosts being attached to objects).
There is the story of flight 401 where a Tri-Star L1011 crashed into the everglades killing a number of passengers and the pilots. Subsequently parts from the ill fated jetliner were used in other Tri-Stars, which apparently came with attached ghost of deceased pilot.
You can read about it here. http://www.near-death.com/ghosts.html

Well, if you subscribe to the whole idea of residual hauntings being explained by some "scene" being trapped and recorded in an object then it's not as far-fetched as one might think.
But hair-grabbing…that sounds intelligent (or I should say, "not a residual" LOL)

Interesting article, but I'm not really sure that the function of aircraft flight engineers are to work on the galley appliances.

Wow, it looks like they WERE going to investigate the original location.
But they had to fall back on just investigating the _exhibit_ since they discovered enroute that Steve is also a hydrophobiac.
