Man, I can sit here and complain about or praise this show all I want, but I still get psyched for the damn thing to come on each week.
Not having Cable means watching it online, which I finally got to do last night.
Not a terrible season opener, and the TAPS board is so full of Roto-Rooter dissension that I'm not going to go near it, but out of the entire hour, why, oh WHY did we have to have that K-II Meter segment?
Putting it on the J-Box to the water tank, for one, and not just "answering their questions" but responding to the actual questions that were set up by a change in inflection, like a salesman would use, where a yes was expected….
AUUUUGGGHHHH!!!

Along with a site check-list, these guys also need to set up a standard list of questions. Yes, you can improvise, but for control, every "entity" should be asked the same basic set of questions.
I did not bother to record this one so I can't go back and check. Was that an actual junction box, ie for an electric water heater, or was it just the gas valve enclosure of an NG water heater that the K2 was set upon?

I think I can just read "Honeywell" on the side of the box?

In any case, the basement was absolutely chockers full of electric wiring hanging out all over the place. I'm surprised G didn't go off about a fear cage. But such a claim would mess up the K2 session wouldn't it.
Dual K2 meters would have ffixed this problem too.

You can see where the flex tube/conduit goes into the box.
It's just sloppy investigating. Very amateurish.
Love the idea of dual K-II's, btw….

Looks like this jobber (or very similar):
http://www.simplyplumbing.com/honeywell-l4081b1013.html?productid=honeywell-l4081b1013&channelid=BIZRA
The specs give electrical ratings under both 120VAC and 240VAC:
# Electrical Ratings (AFL): 8A @ 120 Vac
# Electrical Ratings (AFL): 5.1A @ 240 Vac
# Electrical Ratings (ALR): 48A @ 120 Vac
# Electrical Ratings (ALR): 30.6A @ 240 Vac
# Electrical Ratings: 0.25 A @ 0.25 to 12 Vdc
# Electrical Rating (ignition): Transformer Load: 360 VA
So…..
Learjet, see my response in Slater Mill about how they would and did get around two meters :)
