Another non-residence this week as GH goes to Jefferson City, Missouri to wander around the Missouri State Penitentiary. The title of this week's episode comes from a riot that took place here in 1954. Because of it, the place was given the nickname "The Bloodiest 47 acres in America" During the riot, 4 inmates were killed and about 30 injured. How this translates to the Bloodiest 47 acres I know not.

KJ joins us this week (yay) Watch as he and Britt conduct an EVP session while sitting in matching electric chairs. With KJ as a co-investigator with Britt, I suspect this will feature the full crew (four teams). KJ is along so Britt (or Adam) doesn't feel like the third wheel investigating with Amy.

The Walls (as it was also known) was in use from 1836 to 2004. What has happened to it, since? Well, this episode is another "We're here to help" one. We're here to help your ghost tour business, I mean:

For $25 you can take a Ghost Tour, or for $100 you, too, can walk around waving a K2…something that has apparently just been started this year.

The team investigated here right around the time the Prison was celebrating it's 175th anniversary. The stars ducked out of the after-hunt party, though, leaving some of the people who had paid for the $20/head event a bit disappointed:

Cool I would think it would be a golden opportunity to meet the fans and other wanna be ghost hunters.

As far as the Bloodiest 47 acres goes, maybe it comes from the acerage the prision sits on.Wonder if they were made the prisioners do farm work. They do or did at Huntsville  years ago here in Texas.

By the way,did anyone  catch their live Halloween show, and if so how was it?

It does, but how it becomes the "bloodiest" I can't imagine.  4 people killed and about 30 injured?  I'm sure one could define a 47-acre area at, say, Gettysburg and make a much more salient argument!

It did not disappoint (though I don't necessarily mean that in a good way)  It was a 6-hour long commercial for Dodge as well as a vehicle (ha!) for promoting many of the other shows on SciFi.  It also offered evidence of why one should never, ever, try the SFT on Live TV unless your intention is to prove that it's all nonsense.

Salient.  Gonna have to dust off my Dennis Miller thesaurus for that one.

Getting too metempirical for my limited scope.

Double tap to the head. Don't become Undead.

I thought the same about Perryville, and then realized that you have to read that claim literally.  This is the bloodiest exactly 47 acre tract of land.  Not a tract of land 46.5 acres, not one 47.5, but a single tract of 47 acres.  Hey, I am a real estate lawyer, I read too many property descriptions……

Anyone notice the K2 going off in Grant's back pocket as he walks around? It looks like each team member has a radio mic. Explains why we can hear them whispering and movement from their clothes. It also explains why they see things that are never picked up on video. The high EMF that their radio mics emit are causing them to hallucinate! Bwahahaha!

Every single one of them is contaminated. Any EMF they get is therefore meaningless. We knew that already, but now we know why.

Had a good chuckle watching that.  Cameraman sure didn't say anything about it.  Also makes one think about the following: "Just what good is all your "scientific equipment' if you just carry it around in your pocket and not pay attention to it?"
