This time the gang goes back to Louisiana to inves…wait, weren't they already in Louisiana for the Season Opener? I bet they just headed down to New Orleans after that, but rest assured we'll see a complete setup (possibly including Drano™) and then a long drive down there.

Anywho, off to New Orleans to investigate the former US Mint, there. Makes sense, some coins do have ghosting. (Learjet will probably get that one if no one else does)

Looks like they are back to the door-activity type of haunts and from what I've seen of this one, it just has a ring of "yeah right" to it. Blocked from view, cameraman has absolutely no reaction, etc.

Did I say cameraman?  Yes, I did, it appears that they've given up on the shoulder-mounted cameras already.  Course if this was filmed immediately after the Season Opener, then it took place before the USS Olympia.  But, I think the USS Olympia was filmed before the Season Opener, so…

Sit back, kick up your heels, have some Popeyes™ and enjoy.

Was it just me or was the video that Steve was showing them before he "locked them down" was showing "am 09:54:xx"?  And it was dark out.  And then they start the investigation with Steve and Tango and the screen shows: 8:26 PM  Hmmmm  Not much faith in their time syncing!

Door closing.  Cameraman says nothing (fear of being fired?).  Doesn't move to get a better shot of the door that doesn't have Steve blocking it?  The sign on the door knob was flitting around pretty good, couldn't be from wind could it?

By the way, based upon the date that was on that video screen (01 Dec 2010), this was filmed immeditately before going up to do the Season Opener of Haunted Town.  There was not time, nor would it have been practical, for them to go back up to their main office and have Amy tell them about the townsfolks wanting to have a circus.  But we knew those scenes were all staged, didn't we.

One other "funny" during the investigation.  At the beginning Grant is describing the place and says it's built like a fortress and so there's no way of hearing outside sounds (or words to that effect)

During the Review…Jason throws out one sound because it's the sound of car brakes(?)  I doubt the car was INSIDE the mint, so…so much for the fortress being sound proof.

In regards to the 'Fortress' statement, that door that opened on its own seems pretty thin and lightweight, and immediately upon the door opening, you could hear loud, live music from outside. I don't know exactly how soundproof this place would be, if that's the case…

And once again, "oh look, I saw a shadow!"… camera man films Jason and Grant… slowly pans over to the general area where they saw this 'shadow.' They want solid evidence? Not gonna get it by filming our duo just saying 'hey, look over there!'

I kinda wish we would get introduced to the Ghost Hunters cameramen. I wonder if they like their jobs. Do they believe in the paranormal? They should write a tell-all book.

When Amy and Adam are doing the thermal sweep, and he thinks that he sees a warm figure on the couch, why don't they walkie someone and ask if someone was indeed sitting on the couch? Why do they jump to conclusions on everything else but then brush this off? Maybe there really was something there! But why not make sure, just in case?

By the way, I don't care about K.J.

First piece of evidence sounds kind of like water dripping…

As you mentioned above… Fortress = hearing vehicles breaks? I'm glad they found a rational explanation, but stay consistent. If you say a place is soundproof, it's probably not.

Also, kudos to the owner/tourguide? (I forgot what is role is for the mint) for mentioning that the AC can cause a pull on the doors. If that's the case, that's a lot of pull. But still, good thing he mentioned it.

Another thought: does TAPS ever go back and visit these places again? I know they have for special episodes, for really famous or active locations. But at the end of every episode they're like, 'oh we'd love to come back and check this place out again!' Do they ever? Is it not worth putting on TV? Just curious.

I don't care about KJ, either.  I was dismayed when he showed up.  I don't buy the story about it being a big place and the extra help would be, well, helpful.  It was Amy and KJ and it was Amy and Adam investigating.  All they did was rotate someone out.  Personally, I think Adam may be on borrowed time with the show.  Which is fine as long as they don't replace him with KJ.  With Britt now back I think we may see a change in things soon.

Do they ever go back?  I raised this point a few years ago over on the TAPS board and there was a bit of a row about it and interestingly a few episodes later Jason or Grant did a special "stand in front of the logo" interview where they explained how sometimes other members of the TAPS family would go back to these places as followups.  I'd like to see some evidence of that before I fall right in line with believing it.

Yeah, but I don't think anybody could be as bad as Andy Andrews from the first few seasons. Personally, that guy gave me the willies. If they brought him back… o.O

whenever they bring people back they're always like, 'yeah! awesome! im so pumped to get this experience with my Ghost Huntin' skills with the Ghost Hunters and yeah it's been an awesome experience and awesome.' Yeah, yeah.

I also wonder what the follow-ups consist of. Probably in local areas. I can't imagine them driving across the country to be like 'Hey, just checking in, kthxforthepublicitybye' Or maybe they would. Who knows!

I would also like to point out that I am a firm believer in the paranormal. Have been my whole life. But these shows just dramatize the entire experience and sensationalize it so much. It's become a sort of joke, with how many ghost shows there are. My ma always put it best when we watched these shows… "OH, loud music, commercial break… and I bet they don't find s***!"  lol. true, ma.

Andy was quite annoying a lot of the time and appeared to have some sort of complex at times which caused him to interject himself into things by way of volume.  But I will say this for him, he at least went into it with the intent to figure things out and to explain them rationally…which is probably why he got booted to GHI and then off the show completely.  If he came back and had a volume dial installed on him that we could turn down, it wouldn't be too horrible, especially in a relative sense.
