Some confusion on this one. It appears to be a county jail which I wouldn't think would be the oldest HOUSE. The Pirate's House in Savannah makes the claim as the oldest house.
Prepare for a house overrun with spirits. More touching, some running, hard to tell these apart anymore isn't it!
This is the episode that some of the Real Housewives of Atlanta. Fitting with GH lately, the term Real is being loosely here, too, I suppose.
This represents another cheapening of the franchise and I don't think any more is worth saying at the moment!

I take it that this is the house?
http://www.wunderground.com/wximage/viewsingleimage.html?mode=singleimage&handle=alkan&number=34&album_id=20&thumbstart=0&gallery=
So they claim the 0ldest HOUSE in Georgia is a jail? That is highly debatable on more than one topic.
I take it that this is another residence that offers ghost tours and gets funding? It seems that Jay and Grant have sold their souls to these types of places. Long gone is the days when they would visit a private residence to try some good old fashioned debunking. Even then though there was some trickery a foot: coat hanger, water bottle, ie.
I wish the girls on the team would put their hair up so that we don't get the many "something pulled my hair" routines. At least on GH when someone claims to get touched they dont all turn on their flashlights to look for goosebumps on that persons body. Since when did goosebumps start to indicate cold spots and paranormal activity? Last I checked when I took Anatomy and Physiology there is many factors that can cause goosebumps.
Also look for random lights to appear in the dark for someone to chase after and some banging noises and foot steps. Its just not a GH episode without footsteps.

Okay I did some research and made some interesting finds. According to one site, in 1734 Britis General James Oglethorpe had a botanical herb house built. The herb house was to be used to grow potash, wine grapes and cultivate mulberry silkworms. After awhile the botanical herb house did not work out, so a larger building was built around the herb house to make it into a tavern. From what I am reading on this site, one section of the whole building lays claim to being the oldest, the rest of the building was constructed after the fact. The herb house that is being considered the oldest is a very small portion of this tavern.

Well it appears that the Jail is a separate investigation than the Oldest house. Love how they make such coherent clips!

Interesting. Oldest House. Kris and Amy had all their scenes cut (except breaking down)? For a minute I thought I was looking at the wrong episode regarding the Housewives, but here from one of the Housewives:
http://www.kimzolciak.com/2010/10/102710-ghost-hunters-oldest-house-in.html
Whereas this one shows that they are on an investigation of Rhodes Hall
Here
Kim apparently had the episode wrong? Not a rousing recommendation for her!
Darn, I was hoping we would be done with it after tonight!

A thought…was the breaking down and lights on footage filler spliced in from other episodes? I've wondered this before. The lights out and lights on montages. Are they real from THAT sight, or are they like the moon shots? Given that we didn't see any of Kris and Amy in the investigation, I have to wonder.

I am really confused now. The commercial showed scenes of the Pirate house from Georgia which is claimed by historians to be the oldest house in Georgia. Then when I tune in its a completely different house. But for the record I noticed one thing they said to cover themselves if the debate is every brought up. They claimed tonights house was the oldest RESTORED house in Georgia. Just a thought that this might explain how they got away with that one.
@Nosfer: I think the breaking down was spliced from another episode. I belive they have done this before and just got sloppy with their editing to notice what they left in. Kind of like how the FoF crew always wear the same clothes for the "situation room" they have a scene they replay to make the break down involve everybody.

Good question about the setup and teardown shots. I do know that the drive-in sequences are filmed separately from the rest of the investigation, often afterward.

Looked at the first part of the Oldest House. Kris and Amy are along on the drive and standing around after setup before they begin the investigation. They appear to be wearing the same clothes in the scenes so it looks like it may be legit setup/teardown footage. Interesting their investigation scenes were cut, even though ALL TEAMS had personal experiences. Kris' and Amy's personal experiences must not have been too noteworthy.

I'm glad that you brought up the set-up/teardown footage because I noticed that in last weeks episode Kris was wearing a white shirt during the investigation and she had on a brown shirt during the breakdown footage.I was wondering if anyone on here can explain why she had on two differnet shirts for an invetigation that took place in one evening? I thought maybe she changed because she didn't want to ruin her white shirt while tearing down and re-packing but I'm not to sure about that scenario. So was it due to editing? or Kris's vanity? I would love to get some feedback since you guys are the experts when it comes to all things GH related.

There have been claims of more than one night being used for investigations and footage spliced together to make it seem like it was overnight. There is the possibility of stock footage, though I've not yet seen anything that would be undeniable proof of that yet.
In this case, though, Kris is wearing the same shirt in setup, investigation, and teardown. The brown only looks white or light in the Infrared.

I have not watched this episode yet ( fell asleep as it started- go figure ) but I'm guessing by the comments here that there wasn't very much (any) "evidence" found? Nothing worth discussing? Should I even bother to watch it?

It was very short. J&G saw a light where no light should have been. S&T saw a chair moving and called it a warning, but that was all we heard about it, nothing in review or reveal. K&A saw the ghost of Bill Sherman, but it was apparently so uninteresting that it was completely cut from the episode. Nice architecture, but that was about it.
If you have absolutely nothing else at all to do, you might watch it, but if you have something more urgent to do, you probably would be better off doing that.

Sounds like the whole thing was a wash out. What did the housewives do when they were there?
Did they run around with K2 meters or thermals or what?
It sounds like Pilgrim is getting really sloppy with their editing.I imagine even first year film students could do a better job. And if the girls did see the ghost of General Sherman supposedly, why wasn't that shown?
They shown 90 million shots of them saying did you see that shadow, which of course the viewer never sees, but they can't include poor old Sherman on the show?

The housewife that reported that this was the episode they were in was mistaken…they will be at Rhodes Hall. We'll never know about the ghost of Sherman since all of Kris and Amy's investigation footage was cut.
