Well, to be honest, laying or sitting in one spot and observing a place for a period of time so you can get a feel for the surroundings is a better tact than tromping through the house causing contamination on the stationary recording equipment. Prime example of the problems facing these shows. They do anything that starts to make a bit more sense and the masses cry "Borrrrrring" So, not impressed with this review.

Okay, how does the light on the K2 flash that fast. The ghost would have to be stepping in range and back really fast and in a very good rhythm to do that I'd think. Lighting up solid, okay, I could believe that, but a steady blinking? Something tells me it's picking up a pretty good frequency that isn't necessarily a ghost.
Okay I have finally had the joyous experience of seeing this episode for myself. GH seems to have lost interest with the divx community lately because it's as hard to find as hens teeth.
Anyway, as usual I digress. Now where wos eye. Oh yeah, the K-II session. It was a ghost. A big fat hairy bad smelly ghost. That's what it was. Or a wireless video signal.
I have a theory. It might be wrong but thought I'd throw it out there all the same. I've seen the K-II blink like that with a similar "frequency" in the vicinity of a wireless video transmitter. The one I have is on 1 GHz, quite low power but sets off the K-II in the same manner from a fair distance.
Now in an earlier episode, 2 back I think where the "ITC" or whatever they call it captured the invisible camera man as well as Britt and KJ. I noticed the invisible camera man had a wireless link of some sort on his belt. I was wondering what this was for and if it was two way. I can only speculate, but I wonder if this is to keep the cameraman in contact with the director, and if that link also broadcasts video. And if it does…… bingo, you have your K-II explanation. After all, who is nearest to the K-II meter when it goes off? Jay and Grant are way back on the bed. It's the invisible cameraman. The invisible cameraman that carries a bag full of K-II activating electronics.
I don't believe it's intentional, but most ghost hunting groups have their EMF meters go off by electronic gear that they bring to the party.
Edit to add vidcap of invisible cameraman and the wireless antenna.

Haboro last week on DT had the K2 going off almost the exact same way and it was being filmed very closely at the moment, too….

Yeah I have seen cameras set them off before, even the non wireless kind. They do produce EMF, most actively at a time when they are focusing or zooming as my old spec cap demonstrated by the horizontal lines.

Pretty definite signal…note, the needs to be removed from the end of the URL
That's why I got a laugh when Josh said that they had "accounted for all their equipment"

Fixed.
Yes it is difficult to account for all EMF producing devices, especially when it can't be seen and isn't expected of the device. Which is why all serious team researchers need specialists in that field. They are playing with things they don't understand.

I actually forced myself to watch a good deal of GH last night. I can barely make it through a whole ep though, it's too boring, but I managed 1 1/2 last night. How the hell do you people do it?
Good lord, you don't actually watch these shows sober do you? You'll fry your brain that way!
Ghost Hunters has been proven to cause nausea, vomiting, skin irritation, rashes, a feeling of dread, wanting to throw bricks at the TV screen, shouting etc.
The proper way to get through an entire episode is to play the Ghost Hunters drinking game while watching. This cleverly devised technique designed by SV viewers protects the delicate brain from the damaging rays of the Ghost Hunters. You may then proceed to watch the episode in relative safety.

LOL! So that's the secret!
I'd love to play the GH drinking game, but I gotta get up in the morning and go to work, I can't afford to be in bed 'til 1PM the next afternoon with a killer hangover.. which, my drinking to this show (and all like it) would surely induce.
Maybe I should tape it and watch it Friday night instead. ;)
Geez, too bad I'm not a stoner.. that'd probably work too.. or would I just fall asleep? I'm sure I'd be more impressed by their mad investigatory skillz, at least.

Didn't the Bam Brothers of Ghost Lab do the Lemp Mansion ?
Yes, they did do this as one of the investigations…I think this in the last set of investigations for the first season.

If Jason is in another room and says a word…is he saying that a ghost hears this word, understands that Jason wants this ghost to communicate this word to Grant, the ghost then goes to Grant and whispers the word to Grant so that only Grant hears it and by the way, it is not picked up by a recorder.
I thought it was funny that we see Jason spelling out "comet" – presumably so that the ghost does not misunderstand him- now if we could only get Casper to spell it out for Grant !

Well, ya gotta give him SOME credit…at least he got the spelling right :) Grant trying to come up with similar sounding words to make it look like there was uncertainty was abso-friggen-lutely hilarious.

I just saw this episode last night after not watching GH for a long time. After the jaket tug, and all the cheap spin off attempts, J and Grant's bed n brekfast they bought, and bad acting it was getting old.
I watched some episodes on HULU last night and this was one of them. I was amazed that it is the same old bad acting hoaxing.
The smell: … all of a sudden Grant goes insane, OMG he almost pukes! It must be the real thing. He's a plumber, he knows what a bad smell is… The way he played that up with a complete mundane expression on his face took me right back to the line holloween episode when he tugged a string in his poket and really tried to sell it, and J they same as this time was hardly impressed. I really don't remember J even covering his nose (I could be wrong of course).
Atlantis: … this was just stupid how it played out, as if they think all people out here is a tard. If this really happened for real, it would probably be one of the most amazing things to ever happen to an investigator, having a ghost relay messages to people, for you.
They almost completely glaze over it as if it were just Grant taking a really hard poop once. And, unless I missed something, they didn't even mention this amazing paranormal telepathic event in the reveal.
Anyway I really got to jet.
I Finally got back on these forums after a long while of being off so HEY EVERYBODY!
