I'm guessing this is Episode 11 of Season 6. Gets really hard to keep track anymore and not really sure it matters. In this episode the team goes to Cooperstown, NY, to visit the Otesaga Hotel where claims are cover the range of doors opening bythemselves, shadow figures, invisible voices (have you ever seen a visible voic?) and assorted other stuff.

Basically the same old same old, I don't really see anything new and improved as far as the claims that makes this stand out from any other set of claims.

Enjoy this new story about GH doing the investigation:

http://www.wktv.com/news/local/89869752.html

Steve and Tango do not appear to be joining the team for this one. If so, that means they could have been "teaching" at the time so it will be interesting to see if our Cadet Victor shows up…no, his name wasn't Victor, it was Adam. I suspect he won't be there.

Jason's long lost good friend KJ is back for this episode, as is Britt. Amy and Kris round out the team at an even half dozen (providing Adam isn't there) and they will probably regale us with more swearing.

Oh…for those of you who haven't gotten your fill of the #$%@& laser grid, guess what, you get to see more of it tonight. Yeah, I know, contain yourselves. Perhaps they'll move the camera on us again and create another figure>

Sit back, break open the liquor locker, and enjoy!

Wait for this one -

"SyFy's Ghost Hunters TV show is planning on filming an episode from the Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame in Amsterdam, New York soon. Tony Vellano, who runs the Hall, is claiming that there's paranormal activity happening near the displays of former WWE stars The Missing Link and Bam Bam Bigelow."  http://www.prowrestling.com/article/news/15658

Or this – "

THE PHILADELPHIA Zoo is haunted, say staffers who are glad that they may soon have some understanding of what spirit or spirits could inhabit America's oldest zoo. The SyFy Network's "Ghost Hunters" will shoot at the zoo tomorrow and Thursday nights, investigating several areas where workers have reported flickering lights or apparitions. http://www.philly.com/philly/entertainment/20100406_Dan_Gross___Ghost_Hunters__to_check_onPhila__Zoo.html

And people have the nerve to say that these folks have sold out! When I had seen the lineup of upcoming episodes (you can throw the housewives one into the mix, too) I had my own paranormal experience.

At least we know no animal spirits have been seen, that would raise a whole lot of additional questions.

I see this being the season of the Guest Stars. Sorry, the half-season of the Guest Stars.

I may not accomplish all of these, but I'm going to go for best two out of three!

Well, there appears to have been a camera pointed down the hall in the exact area (and at the same time) that KJ saw the thing dart into the hall and back into the room. Did anyone see a shadow block the light at the end of the hall (reflection?) or even just any shadow at all? I saw nothing…

I didn't see any shadows. And the camera was pointing in the right direction for once! I also didn't see anything when Britt opened the door and claimed to see a shadow moving away into the room.

Sorry to see the flashlight trick again!

Was the hotel supposed to be totally empty? No patrons at all in a hotel that big? Was it shut down during the off-season?

Did anyone else see the dollar signs flashing in the eyes of the Director of Marketing during the reveal?

I have to wonder if these guys aren't chasing their own shadows. I see when Britt walks into the room I can see that his shadow is cast on the wall in front of him by the cameraman. Even though this is supposed to be IR, a person still may have a small amount of residual sensitivity if the IR light isn't filtered.

And given the number of flashlights and other sources of visible light there are, it could easily have been just your everyday run-of-the-mill shadow. Headcam would have been nice there. Cough Cough (Where's Jael when you actually need her lol)

And since we have a camera right where KJ saw his alleged shadow (and I sure didn't see anything), I'm wondering if he was suffering from eye-floaters.

I see that Miss Bruni has changed her first name to Ahhmee, based upon what I heard in the EVP, certainly not a Hard "A" at the start of the name.

Let's see, they set up the camera in the room the gals are sleeping in. They are sure the door was in one position because it had to be that way so the camera wouldn't be blocked (am I remembering right?) But, the camera didn't catch the door movement because it was on the same wall. So how would the door have ever affected the shot from the camera?

Or also mummy – mahmee since the "M" could be easily lost in the noise. At least I heard "something" this time.

Thought it was very interesting how the guest calls what she saw an "orb" of light – not a ball, not a globe, not even simply a floating light.

Since the Ghost Hunters don't believe in "orbs" being paranormal, Grant adjusts her statement to seeing a "ball" of light while Jason changes her "flickering" into back and forth, back and forth then woosh.

The voice Britt hears ( saying Ahmee ) happens while Britt is " alone trying to make contact with anything" — ALONE ?  Jason passes this off nonchalantly, but it appears that "alone" ( with a cameraman and/or sound man ) is now acceptable behavoir.

It appears the girl who was cut from GHA for wandering off was cut for not staying in production camera range – they obviously get paid to be ON camera.

A VERY interesting point to bring up -

If these shadows, these little flickers of something are to be reported, would it not make sense to have ALL of the investigators in the group to have a baseline for their internal optical equipment established ?

I've always thought that every paranormal group can and should easily have it's members tested for hyper-sensitivity to EMF.    ( we might even find out if it exists ! )

The more I think about it the more I think these people really are chasing their own shadows.

Not all IR lights are the same. I recently bought an IR video surveillance camera from Hong Kong for the front door. It has 30 "IR" LEDs, but the LEDs visibly glow deep red, enough to cast a shadow for the dark adapted eye. Yet I have another Swan camera with 12 IR LEDs that I can't see at all.

Who knows what sort of IR LEDs the Pilgim camera man uses or even their handy cams. There's just so many sources of light at some wavelength being beamed around to cause all the shadows under the Sun (pun intended). Tongue out

They borrowed the fancy schmancy laser light show generator from GHI but they should have borrowed the more practical piece of equipment…the headcam.

Forget the cameraman, Britt is still not alone, KJ is right in the room with him. Right after you hear the "voice" Britt does his look around and then says "KJ, it's like I'm getting whispering…." Camera cuts back and forth between KJ and Britt before and after the voice.

Jason says in the Reveal that "He [Britt] was standing there alone trying to make contact…" I think in this case, "alone" means that no one was in the closet or in the same frame with him, Britt certainly was not alone in the sense that he was the only one in the general area (again, even if you disregard the cameraman)

Amy and Kris at total opposite ends of the hallway was much more of an "alone" situation (again, disregarding that non-entity known as a cameraman lol)

More Bad B-Roll footage:

Kris has her interview and then they go check the room the shadow went in or whatever the heck they claimed to see.  The window beyond the bed goes from closed to open to closed to open.  The camera on the bed goes missing, too, when the window is in the closed position.  They even try to do a splice from the scene where Amy is talking and then they pan to the head of the bed…the bed is visible behind Amy and in the pan, but it is two separate shots spliced together.  Another banana for the continuity folks :(

My TRV65 has a builtin illuminator consisting of two LEDs that are of the visible red type as well.
