For the mid-season finale, the team checks out this sprawling hospital complex.
According to Amy's tweet, they speant two nights there, but per Pilgrim's SOP it was edited to make it seem as if the investigation was done in a single night.
Probably the most interesting thing is that they had what they claim were a lot of personal experiences, but TAPS cameras and recorders appear to have caught NOTHING.
The three clips presented to the client as "evidence" are all from production tapes.

At the beginning of the show, they mention there's 38-50 buildings in the complex. Um…isn't the number of buildings a finite number as opposed to a numerical range? Anyone know why we can't get a fixed number on those buildings?

Heck, Kris and Amy go through a tunnel to an "unknown building" and they never do figure out where they were.

So what's with the door moving, caught by the Pilgrim cameraman? One of the few experiences the girls have had with Grant not in sight.

Learjet – I am more suspicious when Grant is not in sight, with neither hand in his pockets, without a heavy jacket on, ……

Lol you reckon he's armed and suspicious then.
I dunno, the girls seemed truly caught off guard. I don't think they even saw the door move at the time, only on video review as it was only lit with IR. They only heard a noise.
Grant is nowhere in sight, I find it a bit of a stretch to blame this one on him.

Curious that we don't see them going in that direction to investigate what the sound might have been -
… and dosen't Grant say the door was closing ? sure looked like it was opening to me.
Wish we could know for sure if the girls came through that door and/or if they had moved it at all.
Going 'way back to the Star of India ship, we saw a gate swing back to it's normal resting position by itself, but we never got to see who moved it out of position.
Since we know that they fiddle with the flashlights in order to make it easier for Casper to turn it on and off, why would they not fiddle with a door to make it easier for Casper to move it ?

I kinda like how, at the beginning, when Grant is telling us about all the buildings there he let's us know "but not all of them are haunted" So much for going in with an open mind…he's already predetermined that some of them ARE haunted.

Nice catch – especially important since they make a point of puffing out their chests as the first investigation ever to take place there, then the TAPS equipment finds absolutely nothing.

It definitely closes (well, attempts to close, doesn't quite make it), you can see the pneumatic doohicky at the top of the door and also the frame which is on the viewer side so the door IS closing rather than opening back against solid wall.
They were VERY lucky, though…very lucky. What are the odds that the two gals would have been standing next to each other but with enough of a gap that the door could be seen perfectly between them…almost as if the shot were framed.

Yep, You and he are right, it is closing.
It looks like the client has it figured out immediately and even laughs at them being scared by the door closer, then Jason has him look at it again as if he didn't see what happened the first time.
ANY investigator should realize that the door closer is the obvious answer, but TAPS seems to feel that since Kris and Amy did not figure it out at the time then it must be, as Jason says, " as if something just came into the room with them ".
"They were hearing that sound all through the night as if they were being followed" says Jason – well DUH, many of the doors probably had the same closers on them.
Incompetent investigation = paranormal event ? Or does Jason realize the girls were fooled but dosen't actually want to say it was debunked ?

Ah yes I can see the pneumatic door closer now that I've lightened the frame. Can't see squat normally! Good catch Nosfer.
Debunked.

Would also like to point out they seem to pretend not to know what made the sound, but then they ask the ghost to "Close the door again" and again, during the review of evidence, Amy pretends again not to have seen the door.
Why also would they not question the wind? Or the floorboard they are standing on?

If anybody with some good video software wants to take a look…try checking this scene:
One minute before the door is seen closing, just before the "sound" they hear, Kris reaches for the door that eventually moves ( it is closed at this time). They hear the noise, and as the camera pans again, Kris can be very briefly seen on the "room" side of that now open door.
With the obvious question already of "why keep that door in the shot during their interview?" we could easily ask, what is she doing with the door knob?
