So as Kris says they are "terrified and desperate for answers" … wow !
To have Tonya Webber, the marketing and event coordinator for Georgia Ghost Hunters terrified in her own house has got to be some scary Casper !
http://www.georgia-ghost-hunters.com/modules.php?name=Staff
They basically found nothing except some they could blame on electrical problems.
Hey Georgia Ghost Hunters , this show sure makes you guys look incompetant … feel free to post here if you feel you have been done wrong.

Just wondering, if you turned on the TV and if on cue it quickly turned off would you maybe "investigate " further?
I think they said they may have knocked the plug out. Would you "maybe" aim a camera at the location and replug said plug OR does this 15-20 minute second half of the show really only require that much time on scene "investigating"?

First off I wanted to say I am new to the site, great site btw! There are a few things that I would like to discuss here to let everyone know who we are and what we have already done with this case.
We were the first team to investigate Oakland Hall Plantation before any other team. I felt the word "incompetent" a little harsh as it was directed to our team. Take the time to read through our case files, we have investigated three times and pulled some very interesting Evp's from this location and I am open to allow anyone interested in reviewing the complete audio and video from each investigation we have done, that's if you are willing to donate at least 30 hours of your time per each investigation.
The electrical issue has been already looked into by our Tech Specialist which is an Electrical Engineer. We have already come to this conclusion about electrical problems before this show aired and we had no control on what was showed on air. If we would have had the opportunity to discuss our side of the investigations we had things may have been different. It takes more than one investigation at a location, you cannot go into a home and investigate once and draw your conclusions on a one time experience, especially if you do not have the evidence to back it up.
We are a self funded organization that does not ask for profit, we do not feel donations are exceptable in the search for the paranormal, all of our time is volunteered to help others in need of answers. Our group does not seek fame, fortune or the limelight as that defeats our purpose of researching and helping others. We put a lot time into what we do, we care about people and their real issues with the paranormal.
I am not here to change the way anyone feels, everyone has a right to their own opinions and theories, but I do think I needed to post a reply to let everyone know that the electrical issue is not new news to us. If you have time you can review all of our case files over at our website and look under case files. I hope this clears up the issue as stated.

Hi spectre, and welcome -
Rest assured that I did go through your files and find them among the most well written and comprehensive of the groups I've looked at. The fact that you put your evidence on line shows the confidence you have in your work. Other groups would do well to follow your example.
As I wrote above, this Ghost Hunters episode did make you look incompetant – they did not mention you, but anyone that had done a little websearching and believed that TAPS plays fair, would be led to that wrongfull conclusion.
Kris's statement in the car was unnecessary, and I've already seen from your case files it appears you were looking into electrical as a cause for some of the supposed activity.
Were any of the TAPS or production people in contact with any of your people before the show to gather background ? If so, can someone post information as to how those conversations went ?

Thanks for the warm welcome and compliment on our case files
Honestly, even though I don't like to discuss this but I will. The main reason why we were not even involved is because we are not one of their family members, we were not allowed to assist or be interviewed as a witness because of that. I don't want to overstep my bounderies on everything as I usually don't discuss such matters about other teams, but I feel that just because we were not family members we still should have had the opportunity to prove ourself and let them see what kind of group we are. We have built an honest and respectable reputation here in Georgia.
No one from GGH was allowed to talk to anyone although I did talk with the one person (whose name I withhold) about the new show they were going to air (I have not heard anything else about this). This is how the whole thing started as Tonya stated in her review comment. If there was info leakage, I am 100% sure that it did not come from any member in our group as our standards and protocols forbid sharing information to anyone outside of our group, especially since most of our cases list places as private or undisclosed. We are close goup and all very good friends. But I do recall someone outside our group tweeted on their twitter page, but cannot recall what it was.
All in all, I don't understand why it went the way it did, I mean we have found some very interesting audio from this place and we are welcome to go back anytime.

Since J & G make the rules, somehow I think they can allow whatever they really want to.
Any TAPS family member out there willing to post a copy of the rulebook ?
.
Their investigation was in Sept – can you give us an idea of when when they approached and when the deal was finalized that they would be coming ?
The investigation where your guy looked into the electrical problems was in August – Was this online before they did their investigation ?

The first email I received was July 15 from PF, this was the email stating that they thought we were a good group to work with for a new show coming out, wanting locations on private homes not commercial ones. Our PR is the one who was talking back and forth with this person. After this first email I received I did not get anymore because of that filming crew wasn't available and then that passed this over to them.( I wont rehash on it since Tonya already explained)
As with the 1st case report, yes it was online. I can't exactly remember about the 2nd one to well, I will have to ask a few members and see if they remember.

Hmmm … wonder if the "other" show is simply a ploy by PF to get groups to do their front work for them. Most groups will not release any info on private homes, but Gee, this might get us on TV !
Once they have the info, it's oops, sorry, we're not going to do that show after all, and everything gets used for their Ghost Hunters franchise.
.
Any other groups out there that have had a similar experience dealing with these folks ?
