Hi All,

I started watching GH about three weeks ago and have digested about 8 episodes. I have to say that I have not seen one hard piece of proof of anything. Their science is just laugh out loud funny kooky. Am I missing something? These people seem like high school drop outs that watch too much Star Trek. I dont mean to be insulting but I have been just underwhelmed by GH and have been amused at their self importance. I am open to watching a few more episodes but does it ever get better or more scientific than Grant holding a light up device that blink if a spirit gets close. I am laughing as I type this? They need to cling to the plumbling deal. Thanks, Tim

Tim – You don't have to worry about Grant and Jason's future.  They have purchased a Haunted Inn, and will be hosting Ghost Finding seminars at said Inn for large sums of $$$$$.  Blue Collar Plumbing is a thing of the past for them.  They've 'moved on up' to a deluxe Inn in the Green Mountains.

Hi timmyj3!  When you wrote:

I just laughed out loud.  Haven't quite seen it put that way before but there does seem to be a kernel of truth in it.   There's quite a few discussions here about the scientific equipment they use-or misuse.  They even produced their own version of a headcam, a vibration detector that a person coughing 3 rooms down would set off and other assorted goodies.  Have you gotten to their definition of a "fear cage" yet?

It is refreshing to see the opinion of someone relatively new to the show since it has been on for quite some time and has garnered a cult following of its own.  Thanks so much for your post and yes, it does get worse.

Welcome, Timmyj3.  I wish I could tell you it does get better, but it doesn't.  Season 1 was in my opinion the best season.  They did some really good debunking, and were mainly in residential homes, not commercial venues.  Unfortunately, after that, well, hmmm. . .high school drop-outs addicted to Star Trek could be applied at times to the dynamic duo.

Wait…hold on….what?  Are you implying that the "fear cage" isn't real?  I…take exception to that.  On many occasions, Jason and Grant have explained that theory….so, you know…it must be true.  It has to be true….um….it isn't true?  What is going on here?  My world is crumbling around me!

I actually prefer Scobby Doo and the Gang of twits. I interchange that with the PRS gang. Seems to be quite fitting to both of them.

If the truth is out there than why haven't I found it yet?

The one and ONLY thing I've ever seen on GH that I was impressed with was the Florida Lighthouse, when they pointed the camera up the spiral staircase and it looked like someone was leaning over the railing.  Now, it may very well have been a real person, or 'special effects', and I sure can't discount those possibilities.  Hearing 'noises' I'm not at all impressed with.  The world is not a silent place, unless it happens to be a tree falling in the forest.  :p

However, IF (a big IF) it wasn't hoaxed, the 'ghostly figure' in the lighthouse was cool.  I just wish I could trust Ghost Hunters not to fudge things.

Tongue out Yeah, I enjoyed their visit to the San Augustine Lighthouse. That certainly was one of their better episodes.

Another one that was interesting was when they went to Lullaby Lane, the baby store out in California. The people that own it thought that Jean a former worker might be haunting the place. They had some experiences and just wanted to know if it was her, their friend haunting the place.During the reveal they got a couple of creepy voice evps. The one said There is no Jean. It was a pretty clear evp.Jason and Grant

asked Jean if you are here, can you please say something to your friends, and that was the responese they got.

When they went to England and the Hellfire Caves, that was pretty cool. In one of their visits to the Stanley Hotel, jason and Grant were in the basement and caught "Hello" and some laughing. It was loud enough that you could hear it. In fact the woman or child's voice said "Hello" a couple of times.

I remember the woman's voice. They mentioned earlier that episode that on the other side of the wall was the kitchen (I believe) for the Inn. Now, if you were in the kitchen of a supposedly haunted Inn and you heard talking through a wall, most people would say hello to see if somebody was there.  One other thing that bothered me about that voice was how clear it was. Most of their EVP's are only translated by J&G in the reveal. This one EVERYONE could hear. It wasn't staticky or garbled.

Hi all,

Thanks for the welcomes. I was going to delete GH from my DVR schedule but my wife wants to give it a few more episodes. I dont mind the show but just dont buy any of it. I am also the kind of person that thinks American Idol is rigged and the outcome is pre determined (like a multi million dollar show is just going to let things happen by chance by voters, i dont think so). I also beleive that Oswald alone shot Kennedy. You kind of get my firm skepticism. Good to meet some of you. I am in central Wisconsin where is almost 90 today which is probably about 6o degrees above normal!

 Thanks, Tim

Tim – The best part of GH is …. well, this web site!  Watching the show and then coming here and reading the reviews and comments is a heck of a lot of fun!   If you don't watch the show, you won't know what everyone is talking about.  :D

AI is FIXED?!?!?!  Oh, the horror, the unspeakable horror…..  All right. I can accept it's fixed.  But Elvis is alive and well, living in Kalamazoo and working at Burger King.  No matter what anyone says, THAT has to be true.  Cool

Welcome to the forum timmyj3! Yea, GH has become somewhat of a joke-and I almost gave up watching it myself- but, like Mary said, it is a lot of fun to watch and then come here and discuss  it ( or just read ). There are some really great people on this site that have a lot of interesting things to say, and the discussions are rarely boring. ( Sometimes they can make you laugh so hard that you fall off your chair and hit your head on your keyboardEmbarassed) Keep watching and posting. We'd all like to here your (and your wife's) take on things.

Hi timmyj3,

I'd also like to add my welcome to you as well.  I, like many others, was ready to give up on GH until I found this site.  You will learn a lot and find it is just plain fun to exchange ideas and thoughts with those that are skeptical and trying to find answers to their own experiences too.  So, jump right in and make yourself at home.
