It will be interesting to see just how haunted this place becomes – I can't seem to find anything written about it.

I had pointed out in the the I got banned from TAPS forum, that the MODS seemed a little leary of the Live Halloween show. But I will let everyone know that I have Jason and Grant on my personal MySpace and on my Paranormal one. And I had a friend request for the paranormal one.

Oh goody ,maybe they'll put me on their top.Laughing

that's a link to a myspace page I assume Jason or Grant made for the Spalding Inn.

They do own it, there's a blog and more information on the site.

I found the link to it on Jason's myspace page as one of his top friends.

I think Id be more afraid to find Grant in my closet than a gay ghost. I might actually go for a visit, if it's not too terribly expensive, and report back on it :)

I don't want to be overly PC, but I think it might be best to just leave this particular topic alone. That's not what we're here for. We have several quality posters on this site, and I see no reason to potentially insult or runoff anyone who may be sensitive to this issue.

EDIT: Hmm. It was not my intention to come across like a jerk. I just know how these things can escalate. And one of the reasons I love this site is that it is void of this and stays incredible on topic (except for my occasional ramblings).

I….I'm thinking.

For those who have not seen J's latest (March 8th) post on his myspace page, J states that the Spalding Inn is supposed to be taking reservations soon for a TAPS Mt. Washington event in April.  He states that at their last event a lot of people had experiences. . . . door handles rattling and people pushed.  Gosh darn, how scary!  The event itself is $339 and the special negotiated room rate at the Resort is $159/day during the event and for 2 days before/after the event.  The Resort has over 284 rooms – the Spalding Inn (opening incidently in April) has 36 rooms, is located 15 +/- miles away and is owned by J&G.  Their restaurant serves 200 and the pub 80.   Strategic opening date?  Think they'll be turning people away for rooms and restaurant service?  Interestingly enough, the Spalding Inn website does not make any reference to J&G, TAPS, or ghosts.  Smart plumbers.

Jason's myspace blog is still advertising for that Mt. Washington event. Perhaps he's still trying to fill the Inn? Here is the list of those scheduled to appear:

"Jason Hawes, Grant Wilson, Kris Willams, Kristyn Gartland, Amy Bruni & Britt Griffith, Author & Paranormal Investigators Diana & Joe Avena (Roswell Georgia Paranormal Investigations), Mike Brody (comedian), Psychic Tiffany Johnson, Author, Lecturer, and Explorer of the Unexplained Jeff Belanger, Psychic's Michael and Marti Parry. (Speakers and schedules are subject to change depending on production schedules, flight delays, weather, etc.)"

Along with the usual cast of GH characters (although Steve and Tango are missing and probably working on the College Edition) you have a comedian, an explorer of the unexplained (?) and 4 psychics. On top of that we also have the 2 Georgia investigators who are from the Georgia Aquarium/Titanic episode which is being aired on GH the previous week. In conjunction with the aquarium, they are charging between $20 and $30 for a "parnormal experience" and the aquarium website states: "For the more adventurous Titanic enthusiasts, Roswell Georgia Paranormal Investigators will give an overview of how their group attempts to document cases of paranormal activity. Then, you will have an opportunity to test your ghost-hunting skills as they guide you through Titanic Aquatic.

Need I say more?

"…Psychic Tiffany Johnson…Psychic's Michael and Marti Parry. (Speakers and schedules are subject to change depending on production schedules, flight delays, weather, etc.)"

Well, we know those three will be there. Obviously they would already know if there were going to be any changes regarding schedules, flight delays, or weather and wouldn't have bothered to accept the invitation in the first place if those were going to be issues.

Then, you will have an opportunity to test your ghost-hunting skills as they guide you through Titanic Aquatic.

Probably a better chance of catching something if they investigate the original location. Wonder how those K2s work in saltwater?

Wonder if Kris Wiliams and Diana Avena will be giving acting classes or a seminar on how to start a career in B movies.

Nosfer, you are correct.  They are not dumb.

Apparentlly they are operating the Spalding Inn as a New Hampshire LLC (limited liability company) under the name Grayson Spalding LLC.  Obviously, and correctly, this will protect them if they are concerned about personal exposure to lawsuits or debts arising from the Inn.  LLCs are usually formed in cases when you are dealing directly with the public and are concerned that your commercial liability insurance won't fully protect your personal assets from potential lawsuits or claims by your vendors for unpaid bills, etc.  An LLC gives you personal protection against this and any other potential claims against the Inn.

Not sure if this covers actual paranormal events or, in the case of the Spalding Inn, non-paranormal events presented as paranormal.

Grayson Spalding, eh? Well, I guess it sounds better than Jasant Spalding or Jant Spalding or Jasont Spalding LOL Just a bit surprised that Jason agreed to not have his name first!
