For those who like South Park (Or anyone else interested in laughing at TAPS)

Hey, guys, I was just watching TV tonight and saw a 10 second clip that appears to be previewing the upcoming new season episode of South Park this Wednesday (for those of us here in the US) and it looks like South Park is spoofing TAPS. In the clip that I saw the South Park character Ike 'sees' ghosts and TAPS is called in. In the clip you see two guys wearing jackets that say TAPS and reacting to sounds that are not there (Gee, seem familiar?). The 2 guys are clearly Jay and Grant's South Park alter egos. Of course the South Park episode could be changed by this coming Wednesday but as of right now it looks like South Park is going to have a TAPS related show. Oh, I can't wait.

Didn't they do that before or was it another show?  Just curious.  Either way, thanks for the heads up.  Sounds like it will be pretty funny to watch. Laughing

There was the good old "Crocodile Hunter" Parody….he kept checking "things" with his thumb <cough> and saying it was "naughty"  Of course, they have parodied so many things now, I still like Cartman on his Big Wheel in a COPS parody. :-)

alicat,

No, South Park hasn't gone after TAPS exactly. They have gone after John Edwards and New Age healing in past episodes but not Ghost Hunters in general.

And no, gnostalgia, its not Kenny's ghost. It is a 'celebrity' ghost. Maybe Ike saw Micheal Jackson's ghost? South Park probably would do something like that. I guess we'll see.

Thanks NewbieGhost 13.  For some reason I thought it had been done.  I can't remember now where I saw that parody …. probably in my head somewhere. Laughing

I remember the John Edward episode. They pulled no punches Lol. If they do have a go at GH I don't think they will hold much back!

Thank you.  I will now give you the proper manly response when a man is given either balloons or flowers…

"Um…great…thanks…" *and stares awkwardly at the balloons and wonders exactly what is he going to do with them*

And as for "well written"…all the credit in the world goes to Spellchecker.  Without that, I doubt that many would even be able to read any of my general nonsense… Laughing

Revenant,

You found me out.  I was originally going to give you that special bottle of cognac but somehow it "disappeared" in the last month since I bought it.  Can't figure out how that happened.UndecidedInnocent  So, since you hit 700 before I had a chance to replenish, I was hoping you wouldn't find out and would give the balloons back to me to take home.  I would never have thought of flowers.  They would have been too girly for the head of the RCS anyway and frankly, I doubt the flowers would have left my house either.Laughing

@ The Doctor,

Thanks for the link.  I was disappointed I had missed the first 10 minutes or so of the show when they did the parody.  Well, after seeing it, I know what I think Laughing but I can't help but wonder what GH really thinks.  You know they will say it's all in fun (and they do love the publicity) yet, you've really got to wonder when someone mimics you and it is really not all that flattering.

Thanks again Doc.

Loved the first part of the GH parody, but the pants wetting and other problem reminded me more of GA than GH.

True BD.  Isn't that really what everyone has wanted and expected would happen on GA?  Although, there has been many a conversation about what the GH cast and crew would actually do if it actually happened to them.

Oh, your AUTHORITAY! is most respected, especially on a 700th post!  Please don't wack me in the shins with that nightstick if I get out of hand though! Threat of banishment to a room with Terrance & Phillip will quite suffice! Smile
