Looks like some sort of live event, or at least more than just rerunning some episodes. The line up shows a GH marathon on SciFi on the 31st followed by Ghost Hunters Live! starting at 7pm Eastern, going through until 1am Eastern:

It appears that it will be back to Buffalo Central Terminal where GH and "Guests" will go bajaing through the station in a dodge minivan…more commercialization :(

I went to your second link.  While reading it I scrolled down and it was at that point that it kind of switched over to the ultra-weird Dodge advertisement within the story.  I was like "Just how far did I scroll down?  Is this the same article?"  Laughing

Something tells me that I may be better off just sitting around and talking about Dodge vehicles than watching this GH Halloween special.  After that "Jason telling a ghost to whisper things in Grant's ear" stunt over at Lemp Mansion…I seriously have no idea as to what they/Grant are planning to pull off for that one…

Well…besides having a door move by itself…*sighs*…Undecided

I suspect the OnStar Roadside Assistance voice will be passed off as an EVP :)

ROFLMAO

I think you nailed it.

Maybe the minivan's lights and alarm will briefly flash all by themselves too.. not like there's a small remote for that knd of thing …

@ Orion – Well, at the very least, they could use that small remote to trigger the K2 for a smashing conversation… Wink

okay, i'm gonna try my hand at predicting the future…..  quiet please!

ooom oooom oooooom [a cow walking backwards]

i see…… grant walking into a room – and vanishing!  he will disappear for several hours, before mysteriously reappearing in the same room – stunned, cold, shaken and unable to speak.  he will be taken from the site wrapped in a blanket.

future episodes will show that grant can now channel spirits and he will regularly be posessed.  however, he will never tell anyone what happened to him when he 'passed through the veil' during those missing hours.

oh.  did it work?  did i predict anything?

I hope this one has just as many mis cues as the 2008 one, talk about entertainment.lol. The sad thing is, even when they have the edited normal episodes they still manage to botch things. Like when Meatloaf puts his water bottle in the window of the bathroom and the window is clearly closed. They come back and the water bottle is across the room and the window is open.

I wish they would have some hardcore skeptics as guests. Send in Penn and Teller, that would make for an entertaining show. Maybe have a night cap with James Randi vs. Uri Geller (you know these guys have been wanting to kill each other for years, might as well do it on live television)lol

I probably won't get to see it, it's not popular among uploads so you guys will have to tell me all about the juicy bits.

The thing I don't like about these types of investigations is the massive potential for outside contamination. It's been advertised, people know about it, and I'm not convinced these guys are capable of effectively securing an installation under normal circumstances, let alone something like this. There is the homeless issue and there are just too many places to hide in there and you know there are people who either want to see the celebrities or, and some of us probably fall into this category: mess with them :)

This will be the third time, I believe, that the franchise has been to this place. Evidence was captured the first time which we questioned. Not much took place when GHA was there, but that's probably just because of their inexperience…right? cough, cough, Hi Jael!

Ok…SO…Caine and Jon Cena may be a "guest" now…along with Stacy Keibler, Rey Mysterio, et al.

Does anyone know if Smackdown is in Buffalo that weekend?

Naw, it's not like anyone would go through there with a couple of cans of spray paint that reflects IR and leave them some choice messages … right ?

I'm sure we can look forward to some fans shining a lazer or two through the wndows at least.

My guess would be that before any of the talent enter an area, production would have a "mine-clearing" team go through and check it out for any presents that might have been left for them.

Oh heck no! Absolutely would NOT happen… :)

If Steve and Tango can do something similar to the cadets as a test, I don't see why not!

You're probably pretty close on the mark with that. They know where they are going to film since it's all pre-scripted so just check out those spots (there are probably arrows on the floor) and make sure they are clean. Spray paint on the wall would still work, though!

If I was close by I reckon I could give them a good K-II session. Though if I borrowed Blind Dog's linear I wouldn't even need to be anywhere near the joint!

I'd love to knock heads and compile a list of things that could be done to mess with them.

1) Laser in the windows..  a green laser pointer could be used from a mile away or more

3) (Would require entry prior to the invest)  plant a radio or walkie talkie in the ceiling or inside a wall, where once deposited, it can't really be gotten to-  extra points if in a location where the speaker audio bounces all around making it very difficult to pinpoint the exact source of the sound.  Transmit some choice spooky sounds while watching the show to determine if any team are in that vicinity.

2)  If access is possible right before TAPS shows up, a 160 minute tape player could do.. save the spooky audio for the very end of the tape.  Set to auto-reverse, and just let it play all night until it's batteries die.

4) With access to the perimeter of the building, this would mess with their heads bigtime :

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sound_from_ultrasound

5) (Recent prior access) -  leave some dry ice simply sitting in a nook or hole in the wall in a hallway.. as it starts to sublimate, it leaves a dense fog and once used up, no clue where it came from.

6) Any transmitter type device to mess with the K2

Any other ideas?  This could be fun! Laughing

Looks like we will also have some of the GHI team there as well. Honestly, during the 2008 Halloween show, Robb and Dustin seemed to be the only ones truly into it. A lot has changed in two years though.

If Steve is going to be there, I think a generous deposit of arachnids would be in order.

They're going to try a new gimmick this year:

Whenever their EMF meters go off on the live show, they're going to invite TV viewers to hold their own EMF meters up to the TV in order to verify and share in the reading.

Laughinglol..  okay, I'm totally BS'ing, but wouldn't that be funny?  The idea isn't much sillier than Most Haunted selling an app to turn your cell phone into an EMF meter. I have to wonder how many people would fall for it. "Look!!  It's working! I'm getting 8mGauss!!"
