All TAPS has to do is some footwork to determine the history and/or stories surrounding a place. Asking neighbors, checking in with local historical societies and libraries is also something that can and should be done.
Leave the physics (Remember Shemp: "You must be physic! ") and medians at home. There is not one proven case of anyone having this kind of ability and either they are creative thinking people who pick up on environmental cues and/or do the above suggestions that I just gave for TAPS.
What a mess it would create having having one of these on the show. Although technically, they already have. Chris Fleming-the poor man's Derek Acorah-is a supposed "channeler". They had him on the Manson Mess episode but his alleged psychic abilities weren't even mentioned, and for good reason, if anyone has seen him in action on "Dead Famous". We do have him to blame for the K-II meter, however.

Ha Ha,that's a good one. Surprised the Spiritualists didn't think to have someone sit around with a flashlight while they played with the ouija board back in the early 1900s.
GH also doesnt' use mediums or psychics either.
But they had made reference to it a few times in the early seasons.
Even the one woman that was kind've a whacko in Connecticut (I believe) who was sure she could sense spirits all around her, on that episode, they made reference to possibley sending someone in the realm of a medium or psychic type persone. ( Gawd, I HOPE that was the eppisode…lol)

Technically, I'm not sure if this is true. Oubliette did bring up Chris Fleming. But, my point of contention is Donna. I was never very clear on what she was claiming. It was either that she was "sensitive" to things around her or that she was "a sensitive" as in having psychic abilities. For the show, she was always the Case Manager. Yet, during actual investigations, her role became a bit murky…at least to me.
I don't know much about Donna really besides what I saw from the show. And from what I saw, she seemed pretty cool, easy-going, and likable. But her "sensitive" thing always confused me. Can anyone clarify this or possibly link to something where she explains exactly what her deal was?

The episode that comes to mind is when they went to Salem, that she talked about it the most, if I remember right
