I'm uncertain if this has been brought up before. I looked for a while and couldn't find anything so…here goes:
I was watching Paranormal State tonight, well…parts of it, when I noticed something curious; their "command center" monitor. It was kind of hard to see because of their "swinging" camera work, but it looked like they had at least 10 cameras hooked into the main monitor. And when I started to think back on past shows, their main monitor is always filled with tiny squares. I guess I just never really paid attention to it.
It's difficult to confirm this. They are such different shows. GH makes a big deal out of the "setting up" phase in the investigation so you see where the cameras are going. PS rarely shows any of that. They seem to focus in more on the personal experiences and history.
That got me to thinking…if PS has at least 10 cameras hooked into their command center…why does GH only have 3 or 4? I mean, it can't be money. I have to believe that GH is making more than PS is.
It's just odd. Supposedly, GH is going the "scientific route." One would think that they would have more cameras set up than PS. Yet, it doesn't seem like this is true. So, can anyone somehow confirm this? Also, if confirmed, any thoughts as to why this would be so?

Actually you only need minimal cameras if you know in advance where the activity is going to take place…. :)
I'm sure if they had 10 cameras going, Steve/Tango would review them all simultaneously on a big split-up screen. I remember back when J&G chewed them up and down for doing that and missing potential evidence. Now, it's SOP.

Nosfer, what you trying to imply?
How could TAPS possibly know in advance where activity may take place.

Blinddog50, That certainly couldn't be what Nosfer meant was it? After watching the camera "fall" at Essex and hearing J&G's explanation, I really don't know what you could possibly mean.
I believe The Doctor has brought the camera angle/monitor problem up on a number of occasions, one of which I believe recently was Belcourt Castle. We see on the screen 5 angles yet Steve only tells us about 4. It seems that has become SOP for Steve and accepted by J&G.

Yeah, thought of that too. Of course…just brain-storming here…there are other TAPS members that can help evaluate evidence. Never been too clear on why only Steve and Tango do it. Kris and Amy seem more than capable of staring at a monitor for hours on end while watching for something to move.

I really wonder if they even review anymore. For some of the "EVPs" they pick out I think it would take multiple reviews of the same evidence to catch some of them as faint as they are. And we know they don't take that much time.
Now with the clock error on the falling camera, I wonder if a typical shoot goes like this:
Okay, you guys, stand over there for a minute and wave the thermal around. Okay, got it, now, Grant, go over there and ask Jason if he just heard a sound. Beautiful. Okay, one more where you explain what an EVP is. Great. Where's Steve and Tango…oh, there they are. Okay, Steve stand over there and dare Tango to eat a bug. Nice! Tango, tell Steve some little known fact about yourself. Ah, poignant, they'll eat this up. Alright, one more…Kris, Amy, come over here and say "What the HELL is that?" a few times. Awesome. Okay, that's a wrap.
Steve, Tango, be back in an hour and we'll shoot an Analysis segment.

Nosfer, did you get a copy of the script ahead of time? Sounds like they have a master copy with all the regular comments and explanations and they just remove and insert new sheets with the latest client names they are so predictable. How many times have we heard the same things on every episode? I've never understood the only two people evidence review. With all the hours and hours of "evidence" to review in different formats, how can they possibly squeeze it into the timeframe they claim? I also love that at the end of every investigation and before the beginning of the review, they say we had a lot of personal experiences and a lot of evidence to review. Huh? Evidence? Personal experiences? I'm still bugged by the Gaither House bat switch with Steve & Tango and Kris & Amy. Ugh!

Oft-repeated lines and actions (mix and match and create your own episode):
We're TAPS, we're here to help
Well, you know what we did….
So what are the reports?
They've experienced voices, shadows, full-body apparitions.
That went pretty well…
Good job, bro!
On to the next.
Fist-bump!
EVP stands for…
EMF stands for…
There's a theory that high EMF…
I'm afraid of…
I think you might have found something, Tango…
Hey, Steve, take a look at this…
Said by Kris: Did you [expletive deleted] hear that?
Said by anyone else: Did you just hear that?
Okay, where to next?
After you.
Good job, let's get audio with each of the DVRs and let's go dark.
Lights going off montage
Lights going on montage (lights going off montage reversed?)
I'm not feeling well.
I'm sure I've missed a few, so feel free….

"Let's go dark" Have not heard that one in awile, and grateful.
"What the hell was that?" Anyone but Grant
"He/she/they took that pretty well" when the reveal showed no haunting Would like to hear that again
"According to our research" should be followed by laugh track
