Darth Vader said, "You guys are skeptics". "Wahahahaha".
Jason said the courthouse ghost was a 'phase one spirit'.
They have phases? They metamorphosize like moths and butterflies?
Wouldn't the term 'class one spirit' be more appropriate?
Goobers.

Goobers.
It might be more appropriate but that is predicated entirely on the fact that he actually would know what he's talking about!

@ alicat – thanks for the footage. There's not much to it, though, is there?
My husband wandered through the room while I was watching the Today show footage and said – softball questions, huh?
I wondered about J and G's quick denial that the EMF represents ghosts at all. J scoffed at that idea and said it was just the fluctuations bothering people. So…do we need the K2s anymore? The professionals have made it clear they only measure EMF and not ghosts.

Actually I wasn't going to even post it. Later after thinking about it, I figured everyone should take a look at basically a non-event.

At least Maury wasn't dressed as Yoda.

Kris and Amy weren't dressed as paranormal investigators either.

I was going to edit my comment but I figured you'd add that fact. I guess they figure no one would understand except their rabid fans or those of us here. Probably just as well. I'm guessing they would have to bar the photo because of advertising purposes and that would be distracting which is not what these shows want (well….. maybe Maury).

Possibly the "weren't allowed" choice…One of Jason's said Spalding Inn in big letters so there wouldn't have been much doubt…The "S" we've seen could easily get confused for the Sheraton.

You're right. That brings up an interesting legal question. I'm going to check into that. Thanks for giving me a new project.

The other option is that they WERE wearing Sheraton sweatshirts and thought everyone would assume the S stood for Spalding.

Logo is close but no cigar. They just beefed up the Sheraton's. I guess they they it's more classy that way. Not so sure anyone would make that mistake once they got there though especially considering The Doctor's thread on the May 2009 Boot Camp. Yuck!

With the wreath it might be close enough for infringement

Not so sure but interesting in the fact that they are two lodging establishments. How'd I do on that? I'll check further but that's probably the only way it could be construed I think. You know how they like to get very close to the line and not quite step over it when they can be sued. Can you say TAPSCON. Fringe and thisssssss close.

Probably not an issue if they had a hardware store but same business is questionable. According to the US Patent and Trademark Office http://www.uspto.gov/smallbusiness/trademarks/faq.html:
"The principal factors considered by the examining attorney in determining whether there would be a likelihood of confusion are:
the similarity of the marks; and
the commercial relationship between the goods and/or services listed in the application.
To find a conflict, the marks do not have to be identical, and the goods and/or services do not have to be the same. It may be enough that the marks are similar and the goods and/or services related."

Interestingly, in some places there is a trademark on their (Sheraton) logo and others not. I look into it further.
