This exchange between Grant and local historian Robert Williams during the reveal of last nights' episode was pretty telling IMO.
Grant: "…when I saw that figure go down the stairs I saw it straight on. It was not out of the corner of my eye. I saw it straight on."
Robert: "It's interesting, your seeing that shadow dead on, 'cause usually the claims that we've heard, people see them, like, out of the corner of their eyes."
Grant (rather hurriedly): "What's interesting is that there's more that happened in that area…"
He seemed very nervous to me during this reveal…anyone else observe this? I just thought it was interesting.

The whole episode seemed strange, like when Grant gets some activity on his K2 and instead of following up on it Josh just kind of blows him off by talking about the FLIR.

Did anyone else get the feeling that Mr. Williams, described as a "local historian", was more objective, (and perhaps potentially more sceptical) than the usual suspects who show the GH team around their venues? None of the so-called "experiences" were his. Interesting that they finally allowed the use of a helmet cam tonight, too. Is it possible some online feedback has finally been acknowledged?

This was NOT the first use of the helmet cam, though. Britt has used it once before.
I still like how they say she's ALONE yet we have a butt-shot of her all the way down the tunnel by the cameraman following her. If you're ALONE you know if it's your footsteps or not…still could be the cameraman…..

I know Nosfer, that's been bothering me too!! Wouldn't the use of the helmet cam negate the necessity of a cameraman?

One would certainly think so…unless they needed to drive home the fact that she was wearing a headcam so they needed pictures of her investigating "alone" wearing the headcam. Man, those camera guys must feel pretty insignificant.
Jason: "We sent Kris down there alone to…"
Cameraman: "Hey, what about me, I was there too!!!!!"
Jason: "…investigate without the possibility of sound contamination from ANYBODY else"
Cameraman: "Helllooooo, dude here with the camera!!!!

LOL Don't think their self-esteem is suffering too much…although they do have to work with Jason, and that's bound to make anyone suffer!

Kris tweeted earlier today that she was alone and the camera was one she set down. Jason also tweeted that they all spent time alone in the tunnel but only her's was shown. Was it because of the butt shots?

It's possibleā¦I'll have to look again, but two scenes would support that. One is where she looks forward and back, I don't recall seeing anything either direction. The other is where she disappears around a corner. That was shot from a ways back so it could be from a stationary camera that was left on the ground.
Course, that would mean that their old practice (which was a cardinal rule, I thought) of never going anywhere alone is now no longer being adhered to.

There are a few scenes where you can see the light of the other camera from her headcam, in those it does appear to have been set down. Near the start, though, she is being followed obviously by someone else holding the camera, though, not alone.

StanTheMan – " Was it because of the butt shots?"
Alas, I'm afraid you have figured out the editing of GH in this episode. I read where Pilgrim has said they are trying to go for 2 demographics – women of a certain age and obviously men. They are really trying to bring more women into the "fold". This is accomplished by showing a woman doing the same job as a man for the first group and a woman in the "damsel in distress" a/k/a scared and helpless mode at every little noise for the second. To Kris' credit, she kept going forward which is something we didn't see from Steve and Tango when, as Steve stated the "animal lunged at my face" in the Warden's House. If the animal "lunged" as Steve stated, we must have missed it because from what I saw, it flew above them after he began banging with a stick on the rafters of a very old and infested building. And Steve, the purpose of that was exactly what? And, exactly how long have you been doing this? Ridiculous.

I do hope they continue to use the helmet cams though, whether they are alone or not. And that does seem strange to me if they are sending investigators off alone. That was always such a big thing, investigating in teams for safety. Especially in an old, crumbling building!
