We will find a mutual person that rides the line down the middle of believer, non believer, fan or not. As long as they are honest and unbiased on either side then it will be a good thing.
We can even send them out on a surprise so no one out there will say “TAPS new they were coming”.

As far as people getting taken advantage of in their contracts, those are the ones who don't read what they sign.  They stupidly hire people to read and advise and allow themselves to be put up on a pedestal, surrounding themselves with "yes" men who rarely are out for the best interest of their boss but only their own paycheck.  It's like a shell game.  The more you insulate yourself in a celebrity world, the more you will find the money is draining away slowly but surely.

Recent case in point, Nicholas Cage.  Because he didn't use the two eyes given to him to read and review anything he now claims he's "broke".  No sympathy from me.  Intelligent people do not get scammed in contracts.  Intelligent people read what is before them and have the intelligence to put structures in place to avoid getting scammed in any business venture.

And sorry, peer pressure is a lousy excuse.  I wouldn't do the same thing.  Peer pressure may work while you are in school but not out in the real world.  Signing a contract is a serious business decision.  The same holds true if you are buying a house, a car, etc.  It's your responsibility to know what you sign and have the proper individuals advising you.  If not, it's your fault.

Just wondering.. are you a lawyer?    You sound like one.

You really would've left TAPS at that point, while watching everyone else you knew and worked with for years become semi-famous household names ? (Before it blew up of course) I dunno..  how old was she again?

I've seen legal contracts, and I have a technical education, it's not like I'm illiterate;  I can't make heads or tails of that gobbledygook for the most part. I can make more sense of a schematic.  I think that's why they do that, to confuse the crap out of people. It's like a secret language for lawyers.  Granted, you should always take a contract to another bloodsucke.. err, I mean, attorney, to have it examined before signing it, but what if the attorney you go to is lousy or lazy?

Do you think Jason and Grant were that much more intelligent or wise than everyone else in TAPS, that they ensured that their contracts were so much more lucrative.. or that maybe they were just at the right place at the right time through, largely, luck?  I'm thinking the latter..
