The season finale finds us still in New Zealand. Finally, we've had a logically progressed season where you can trace the locations on a map and it doesn't look like the wanderings of a drunk spider. I think FBf is the only other show that did this. By the by, SciFi is calling this the Summer Finale.
The team heads to Napier Prison to find Napier's Bones. Sorry, not really, just a little mathematical humor there. Very little mathematical humor, I admit.
This was one of 10 places in New Zealand where executions took place. Auckland and Wellington saw, by far, the larger numbers, but that was a result of the other 8 locations having been closed. Four people were executed at Napier. The team is after the spirit of one of these four and I would hazard a guess to say it would be Rowland Herbert Edwards, hung in July of 1884.
It is possible that this week is a two-fer episode where they are also searching for some woman who has been possessing people. More "I hear footsteps" "Do you hear that?" No deviation from their standard formula, it appears.
