Pirates of the Caribbean, I've got a bad feeling about this one. I think we'll be looking at some Havarti, Parmesan, Chedder, and Pepperjack. I wish these shows would go for less sensation. Well, at least it's the summer mid-season finale, or is that the mid-finale of the summer season? I can't keep track of all these breaks SciFi is throwing in there anymore.
They are going after the Pirates, plural. I wonder if they will just be a famous captain and his regular pirates or will they somehow be communicating with all the notable ones at once. Will Johnny Depp guest star?

The only thing I saw in the preview that I felt a tingle of anticipation was when Barry said "Let's get out before we are all killed".
Ahhhh, "perchance to dream".

Barry, the antagonists of the Spanish were Privateers or PIRATES…the PARROTS you keep mentioning were just the little birds on their shoulders. Geez, they subtitle the client but Barry is the one who needs a translator!

Pouring rain, heavy thunder and they're listening for evp's?
Tri-field meter going off. Robb, it's called lightning.
Evp Field Processor?
Aye carumba!
P.S. Robb is suffering chest pains. That's a plus.

Yes, a thunderstorm going on outside, most likely with wind and cold fronts and they are in a room with no doors just open doorways leading outside to where the storm is. No possible way that that might have anything to do with the 'chills'
Love the camera setup at the beginning. Barry must have trained at the Dartmoor School of Focusing!

Of course it's 'hardcore evidence'. Barry was there to present it and viewers were vaguely able to understand what he's saying. Definitely sold me on the ghosts of pirates. Mhm.

After watching anything on the SyFy Channel anymore I feel so 'unclean'.
Afterwards I feel the need to have my third chakra massaged.
Was hoping to see the ghost of the dog with the jail keys.
Always liked him.

I have to admit, this one caught me off guard last night. I was messing around with the dogs and I just caught part of his conversation. I thought Barry was talking about the Scarlet Macaw, the national bird of Honduras. For a second, I thought he was going to express his concern over parrots being in the area and messing around with their ability to record EVP's. Barry continued to speak and nothing was falling into context. I was totally lost. He said it again and I'm like "Ohhhhhhh….PIRATES…."

The one that sent me howling was Barry's line that went something like:
"It seemed to respond favorably to the suggestion that it was an Englishman or a parrot"

Barry and his whole 'parrot' thing threw me off. I started watching about halfway through, so I was under the assumption that I'd missed some supposed haunting that included a parrot. Think I might head down to the local spirits store and see if I can scrounge up a bit of ole Captain Morgan's ghost for next week's GH premiere. A random tidbit of information and rather off topic, but Lemp Mansion was the site of the final episode of MTV's Fear but listed as the Boettger Brewery. Ahhh..I miss the show with it's overly dramatic scares and paranoia.

They mention feeling chilled but it's obvious they got wet! Really? And what about that EVP field monitor dohickey? It was lighting up like crazy but no one does anything about it.
Gotta love the editing – right before commercial Rob and some other guy (the New Yorker from a couple of episodes ago?) are in the chapel. Rob walks past one of the toys and it makes a sound. Other Guy says something about it being coincedental – then commercial. That statement isn't repeated for the after commercial scene (when they repeat the last 30 seconds in case you forgot the drama that was unfolding). They must think people are playing a drinking game and are so blotto that there's no need for continuity.
Too bad there was no parrot evp – that would have been great. As for the evp's they did find – I don't hear it, not even with the subtitles.

Anyone else get the feeling they borrowed the slide projector and images from the museum ? ( Can you say era-cues ? )
If anything Casper would have been bored stiff with the same show yet AGAIN.
When they are playing with yet another new piece of gear – the EFP ( basically a sound level meter ) the Tri-field sounds off, while the PX-09 ( it appears to be another KII varient ) right next to it shows no indication on it's led display. The editors get to play their games again … while Robb is checking out the Tri-field, the PX-09 disappears, then reappears, then disappers again, while the Tri-field jumps to the edge of the table.
I was waiting for Robb to make a rabbit appear.

Finally I get to see it. These episode was so funny I had to leave the room half way through. I couldn't take it all in one hit with the wild storm and Barry's parrot. I haven't laughed so hard in ages!
None of the evidence is worth a cracker with the storm raging outside. The EMF readings, the EVP's that I couldn't hear anyway – all contaminated.
If someone could informn these ignoramases that storms produce huge bursts of EMF that would be great. Ah heck even Ghost Lab know that.
