….they are nothing if not helpful, no? Almost like a magician and sleight of hand, isn't it? "Here, look at my left hand wave this scarf (while my right hand reaches into my pocket and pulls out the dove that I will pull from this scarf). Yet their version is "Here, let us show you the ghost. See it? Let us outline it and blacken everything else so it's easier for you to see and less for you to question. Trust us. We're experts. Do you see it now? Amazing, isn't it? Wait! What was that? Did you hear that? It sounded like a ghost, didn't it? Hello? Hello?"
Joking aside, you get extra points for "noticing the smudging of the laser grid" in the first place. I believe that's how it starts for all of us here. We notice something trivial. Something small. Something…out of place. We start squinting and scrunching up our faces and shaking our heads. It then becomes a challenge. A puzzle. And…we must solve it. I can't speak for everyone here, but I have to think that a good percentage of us can't walk away from an unsolved puzzle. It doesn't sit right with us. We must know the answer.
I guess the moral of the story…never "lose confidence that it wasn't anything important" because someone on a TV show said something different. It caught your eye for a reason. Trust your instincts. Start watching the right hand as opposed to the left hand…
