Paul(?) can stick a flashlight in his ear…well…mount a flashlight to his ear, but not a headcam?

No Kurt? No other rookie? Just Susan…I like that they mixed up the teams a bit…but Boy/Girl…6 person GHI cast? Me thinks NBC/Universal doesn't like paying more than 6 people at a time for these paranormal things.
I do like that Paul explained the significance of the laser cam and the head cam…was more informative than GH.

Ah, so that actually WAS a headcam…a POV camera as he calls it. I missed the description before they started investigating. Wow, how many years did that take? I wonder if they ordered it from the link posted last week lol
No, Karl only did one episode and then went back to school or something. Susan seems to have missed one episode but has been there for the rest.

I figured, as soon as he said he was wearing this POV cam and that it would show everything as he sees it, that he would not see anything. He will probably never wear it again. They're just throwing us a bone.

Just like Britt and Kris only wore it once on GH…maybe this next season. I'm waiting for the "I saw it out of the corner of my eye" stories now…you know…I wasn't looking directly at it when I saw it so it wasn't captured on my ear-cam.
Well, at least they are trying it out. I hope it becomes a standard piece of equipment that they use. Would have been nice to see some footage from it (probably aimed wrong and you see half a screen full of cheek) or did they and I missed it?

Paul's cheek, Brandy's cheek(s), or maybe SUSAN's cheek(s)?

Once he said that he was going to wear it, I don't think that anything more was said about it the rest of the show.
That's exactly what will happen, they'll start corner eyin' black masses. Everything will be just off screen, out of range or on the other side of the head. Then they'll need to start wearing a 360 degree head cam.
They sure seem to present a lot of personal experiences for a group that believes that they don't qualify as evidence.

I think you're right, Lindy, I missed the equipment description at the beginning (had to get a refill to steel myself) so when I saw the scene during the investigation I figured it was another headlight or, in this case, an earlight. It's probably a lot easier to investigate with than the bulky one that Kris and Britt used and, being pointed outward it's better than the DT setup. I do hope the angle is good, though because autofocus could get thrown for a whack if it's too close to his face.
I'd like to have seen some footage of it (will need to review the episode in case I missed it) to see what sort of quality it has. It definitely had IR illumination (which I mistook for an LED flashlight)

Exit signs and fridges cause people to see things says Paul. Hahahahaha! The long wait to see this episode and hear this little gem has made it all worth it!
I can just see a drug dealer in the alley. "Hey bud, wanna buy some crack? And this week's special, I have this exit sign…. really freaky visions with this dude."
Seriously, these people must not use an EMF meter at any other time than on one of these ghost hunts. Cos if they did, they would have to live in a cave.

A lot of times these "spooky feelings" are during normal situations, too. I'd like to see them take the EMF meter with them on the walkthough…you know, in the light, with the normal stuff running that would be running normally. Then let's see what reading they get. Have the TV on, pop some corn in the microwave, play pong on the computer. I think these "dude I just got a .2" statements would not seem very impressive.

You are quite correct. On any typical day we expose ourselves to high amounts of EMF just doing normal things. Cooking food, doing the washing, watching TV, using the computer, listening to music.
Place an EMF meter on the headphones these people use to review the evidence and it would go wild. They should be hallucinating while reviewing the tapes!
I'd like to see them take the EMF meter for a drive. The car itself produces heaps of EMF, as does a power transformer when they drive past, high voltage power lines, cell towers etc. It's a very noisy EMF world out there. On a typical drive to and from work, one should be hallucinating the entire way!
Once you get to work, you are then exposed to a plethora of EMF producing technology…. unless you work in a cave.
Sometimes I think to myself that none of the show can be real, it has to be all make believe because it defies all logic.

That explains why I am always seeing ghosts when I go to the fridge to make a sandwich.

Yes the fridge is a highly paranormal haven for ghosts. The cold spots and the high EMF indicate it's the equivalent to a pub for Casparians. You may also notice a white mist as you open the door. That's actually a ghost. Apparently food also attracts ghosts, as Paul has with a glass of water and black bread. There's lots of food in the typical fridge. Must be legions of paranormal paraphernalia in there!
I think they should set up an IR cam in the fridge.

Excellent idea…we might, once and for all, be able to finally answer the ages-old question of whether or not the light stays on after the door is closed, too

I should mention that while researching this episode, I found a site that also does blog reviews of paranormal shows. However, her perspective is… quite different from mine. Lynne Olsen is (or considers herself to be) a medium, and believes that not only can she see ghosts in the show that the ghost hunters themselves not see, but can also help the spirits remotely.

'This is a story of one house at Rataskaevu street whose former owner had wasted away his wealth and had no future. One night he became so desperate that he decided to take his life. At the fatal moment a stranger entered the room asking the broke landlords permission to celebrate a wedding on the top floor of his house the following night. In reward he promised the man all the riches but only on onecondition: no one would eavesdrop on the feast otherwise it would cost the eavesdropper his life. The landlord agreed.
At the appointed time the carriages started arriving at the door and lights were lit up on the top floor window. Fabulous music sounded and the whole house shook as if under the weight of great number of dancers. When the clock struck one the whole apparition disappeared.
The landlord the day before head over ears in dept was expecting a huge sum of money. At the same time his butler died unexpectedly and before he died the butler revealed he had been eavesdropping on the devils wedding.
At Rataskaevu number 16 there is nowadays a house with a painted window; the landlord had the corner room walled up for ever and to hide the fact he had a proper window with curtains painted on the wall.'
