Or is this S03E01 Or season 1 episode 53856385, or…. oh nevermind…

GHI visit Notingham England where the Sherrif of Nottingham created lots of ghosts. The joint GHI visit is seriously haunted with every noise and bump in the night a ghost. Paul chases ghosts through the building with ultra loud running music but the ghosts run faster and out run him.

Barry catches a misty ghost with his full frontal camera, er I mean full spectrum camera in front of new girl what's her name. What's her name almost becomes possessed by a big scary ghost while sitting in the ghost's chair. Maybe next time we will get lucky with a full on Zac like possession.

New guy from GHA what's his name finds dripping water to be similar to the sound of a ghost throwing rocks.

Rob finds a ghost in the doorway with a spike on the EMF meter and a freezing cold spot. How rare to find a cold spot in a doorway.

The EVP's were as clear as mud, so much so they could hear the ghosts accents. In all the place was uber haunted!

What's her name is Susan Slaughter…slight lisp, great eyes, kickin bod  :)  I sure hope she doesn't go Zac on everyone.  That's dreadful to watch.

Kurt did a great job finding the water drippage…Paul (or as 411mania.com's Ron Martin calls him "Rookie Scum") is getting more comfortable provoking.

Dripping water(WaterWorld)….Robin Hood?

It's all so clear now.
They were seeing the ghost of Kevin Costner's career.

I have not watched this episode yet, perhaps today or tomorrow I'll get around to it. But I can tell you without having seen it that there was no credible paranormal activity found.

The entire franchise has no credibility left. The Manson case was quite a telling show. We found indisputable evidence of fraud in that episode. Jason told us we were idiots. Grant promised to get to the bottom of it. Said there would be changes. Nothing came of it (time heals all wounds, you know…also known as "ignore it and it will go away")

Further suspicious acts ensued. This culminated with the last episode of GHA which has clear evidence of fraud in it's footage. (See that topic in these forums for a discussion of said fraud) What this shows me is that in the 3+ years, nothing has been fixed, despite Grant's promises. The producers of this franchise (GH, GHA, GHI) have not changed their ways and continue to resort to deceit and trickery to "wow" the audience. It's ratings over science. Ratings over honesty.

The repeated misuse of equipment and discrepancies that are seen in these episodes gives me further reason to suspect that this franchise has no credibility left. Thus I, as someone serious about this field, cannot take what I see from them seriously.

When a guy has been arrested 6 times in the past for the crime of counterfeiting…would you accept a $100 bill (analogous to being shown definitive evidence of the paranormal) from him?

Just got through it, and will be posting a review on the blog shortly. I agree with Nosfer's points about trust, but I haven't seen any evidence of fakery on GHI. I can't decide if this is honesty or laziness. I almost wish they'd fake something to give me something to sink my teeth into. :)

ETA: I should note that I haven't watched all episodes of GHI, so there may well be things I haven't seen.

No, I haven't seen any evidence of blatant fakery, either (I'm in the same boat in having missed a few episodes, too, though) I did see a lot of incompetence especially on the part of the accompanying cameramen in the early days. For example, Brian seeing shadows 43 times in a row and still the cameraman has to give us yet another reaction view of his face rather than maybe pointing it where the alleged shadows were.

Then we got the Barry nonsense in that room where he scared the bejeezus out of Shannon (if he were in my squad I would have had him against the wall for that) But I have to say he has at least settled down some lately.

Or in this episode Robb gets chills going all up and down his back and we're treated to a thermal of what, his front? This after Robb explicitly tells fellow investigator #3 (I think they should wear red jerseys) to aim the thermal at him. Instead of aiming where the phenomenon is indicated we get a frontal shot. Not fakery, but definitely something odd going on there.

I was glad to see 7? investigators actually reviewing the evidence rather than just Steve and Tango performing some herculean effort of stamina and hygiene by managing to review for probably 7 days while wearing the same clothes. :)

I was wondering why they didn't try to take air temperature readings rather than just saying they felt a cold spot. Don't those MEL meters do EMF AND temperature? I thought that was the whole point of them.

Episode review's on the blog. By all means keep going here, but feel free to drop in a comment and feed (or starve) my ego.

The trouble with GHI is that they seem to have dropped the fakery of the original GH but not replaced it with anything interesting. I may wind up replacing the blow-by-blow reviews with a short summary and a list of new equipment, moments of lunacy (and/or incompetence), debunking (aka moments of clarity), and evidence analysis. Shorter to write, shorter to read.
