Not surprising.  He's got 3 young children since he started with GH/GHI.  He's still listed on the TAPS website (although well under everyone else) and his own website http://www.paranormalrockstar.com/, which I've posted before, has only one mention about GHI and that's in "About Me" where he merely thanks fans who supported GHI and who knows when that was even written.  I see nothing else on the Twitter account for quite some time about GHI.  There are tweets between Dustin and his GH friends but they are not GH or GHI related.  He is following all his GH buddies and, from GHI, his friend and co-author, Barry.  Oddly, he is also following Brian Harnois but not Jason who is the only one left out of the GH members.

Dustin has also been doing a lot of events separately and a few with old GH members stepping out on their own as they are all represented by Ideal Event Management.  If you go to the "Events" section of his website, you will see he's been doing at least one event a month since October 2009 but none in December or February.  So, I think it's safe to say, unless he's jumping back and forth (which I seriously doubt) he's gone from GHI.  I could be wrong but his comments about all the time he has spent with his kids, to me, tells the story.

GHA is the stepping stone being used to replace outgoing members of GHI and GH otherwise, it has no purpose.  We all know that one of the biggest problems has been GHI retaining members.  They need to be a cohesive team to get a handle on taking over the GH mantle when GH disappears.  I honestly don't think that will ever happen.  Now, if they lose Dustin, how many does that make in the course of their history?  I think it says a lot that the last two GH episodes when they needed an additional investigator, they called in this other guy who is not even listed as a TAPS member, instead of Dustin who was here in the US doing events all along.

I certainly think it was to grab a few more bucks but they also wanted a chain drawn to make the circle complete.  Remember the timeframe in which GHA was hatched and given the green light by the network.  Interesting timing I'd say.  They may not have needed an on screen "training camp" before but they created this to be a natural progression from GH to GHI in order to further the careers of S&T (after J&G depart) and to also connect and draw more viewers to GHI.  They obviously couldn't do the same show so they needed an angle.  And, from GHA previews, this gives J&G optional screen time if/when they decide to "retire" from GH.  This way they keep a finger in the pot so to speak which keeps interest in GHA and GHI and they still get a revenue stream while sitting back and relaxing at the Inn.  You have to remember, without interest in the franchise and the cash flow, the Inn, the lectures, the classes and the merchandise will begin to wane.  They already set part of that scenario up last Halloween when they said they didn't do a live show because they wanted to stay home for their kids.  I'm not saying that wasn't a very small part of it but I am very suspicious, given their phoning in their investigations these past few seasons and the previous live debacle we all experienced.  Geting to syndication numbers became another brick if not the the cement in that retirement wall.

As far as the friendship angle, we only have J&G's word on that.  I can't say Kris was a "friend" because we have nothing really to base it on.  But I do know Jason also said he had taken KJ out on other investigations with him yet KJ himself said he had never worked with the level of equipment TAPS used.  And, I could be wrong here, I thought KJ actually said he hadn't investigated with TAPS before.  So, I'm not sure if KJ and Jason actually knew each other before he appeared on GH or he was just thrown into the mix by Pilgrim or otherwise because there was no one else.  TAPS certainly has other in-house members.  Why ask this guy to appear over their own TAPS members?  That part was glossed over completely.  They usually acknowledge other groups when including them on an investigation but nothing was mentioned at all about KJ which I think is somewhat odd as well.

We have also heard Jason introduce everyone as their "good friend" when they have, in fact, never met before they were hired to appear on GH.  It obvious they use the term "friend" quite liberally so I'm not so inclined to believe them when they describe anyone as a "friend".  You only need to read their Twitter accounts to prove that point.  And, considering the number of those good friends who were previously involved with GH, TAPS and J&G, I'm not sure I'd want them to call me a friend if I was them.

I could find absolutely nothing on any renewal for Season 7 if GH. I guess the best way, if anyone is interested, is to follow J&G's tweets or any other GH member for that matter.  They should have been filming by now based on previous seasons.  If you remember they were filming in VA and MD last year at this time for the upcoming season.

That being said, a press release was put out on March 16, 2010 by SyFy that DT was renewed for a 4th season to start in September.   I find it very interesting there has been no announcement for GH, which last year opened in August and they tout as being their hottest property.  To me, that says a lot.  That and mix in the GH/DT connection this season on DT.  Was this GH's swan song?  I have no idea about the show but I doubt it would be the end of J&G on SyFy for now.  They still have GHA, GHI and DT on which to make appearances.

Frankly, I could care less anymore about the who, what and where of these shows.  I've got better things to do with my time.  I don't mind researching information when someone asks but I watch strictly for entertainment value with friends to get a laugh when nothing else is on television that's interesting or amusing.
