I know it's brand-spankin' but does anyone out there have any ideas as to a drinking game for this show yet?

(I am a big fan of the one for the original show, so much so that whenever I see a Roto-Rooter truck out and about in the real world,  I tell my boyfriend to drink)

We gave up on drinking games when too many of us weren't able to make it in to work on Thursday morning. About the only time we put the glasses down was during commercials!

Gives new meaning to the word "spirits" though…or has someone already used that line? LOL

How about every time Heathyr (the blonde) learns a piece of information that she thought she would avoid hearing just because she didn't go on the "tour"

Every time Steve or Dave tells/teaches them some (worthwhile) piece of investigating technique that they don't actually follow through and use themselves on GH/GHI

Every time a preview looks like something bad is going to happen to a member (ie gets cut from the group)

Every time that Chris thinks he's awesome (or at least a "natural born leader")

After reviewing it (I posted before I watched, mainly because I had the episode queued, and wanted a reason to drink with it) I think I have some rules:

(Some of these <s>may</s> do over lap with GH:Orig)

–Steve asks leading questions to make someone feel inferior/stupid

–Steve rolls his eyes

[line deleted]

–A girl does something "girly" (like "feeling" things and being "affected"<–internet trolls can get me for, probably, the wrong usage of that word)

–Clips from GH:Orig show (like we haven't seen them before)

–Hearing the words "Steve, Dave" (Kevin Smith fans are with me here)

–Explaining what EVP, EMF, Thermal, etc is… seriously, is anyone watching that <i>hasn't</i> seen the original show?

–Someone (probably Steve) doling out "punishment"

–Steve saying "supposably"

I realize this is creating the same paradox of the original show's drinking game, in which I'm sure most of us would be drunk by the 2nd (suspenseful) commercial break… but I think it's pretty decent.

Also, a prediction.

Chris will win… and I say this because, the first time I saw him, I said, "Hey, a somewhat black guy, he <i>has</i> to win."

And because, so far, he seems the less-fake-seeming of the team (it's hard to describe… maybe more "genuine"?)

Ummm….. just a note.  I am sure a number of you are unaware that Dave Tango has Tourette Syndrome…….  Various members of GH have participated in this awareness/fundraiser event and kudos to them all for doing so.  Here is a 2009 press release for the upcoming 11/29/09 event and a link from 2008 with the original story.  This is one of the reasons I like my fellow old South Jersey neighbor.  He puts his money where his mouth is and that's very commendable.

Huh? You mean the first guy that saw shadows and was touched, and continues to see shadows and be touched? Less-fake-seeming?

I have edited the post, and I apologize.  As much as I know about the show, I did not know that Dave had Tourette Syndrome… but his stuttering (IMO, and I stutter, so don't think I'm being cruel) does make him seem more believable (at least to me).  I think it would seem more obvious if he were "lying" or just making something up.

As far as Chris seeming genuine, it was just a feeling (and I have only seen the first episode so far), and from what I recall, I don't remember him presenting the seeing-shadows-and-feeling-touched to anyone as evidence, but I may be incorrect.  So, just throwing that out there.

Again, I'm new to this board, so I hope I don't offend anyone, and I'm not trying to stir things up.

No problem whatsoever.  I didn't know how many knew about Tango and I was 100% sure you meant absolutely no harm.  I have edited my post accordignly to reflect your deletion.  And no, you are not stirring up anything at all.  As you can see, we all like a good drinking game.  Welcome, keep posting and enjoy the site.  You may have to hold on to the rails at times but it's definitely worth the ride. At other times you may be hanging over the rails also.
