This is painful but decided to watch this disaster…I can easily think of about 23 other things I'd rather be doing, but…
Okay, first thing…I understand how they get so many full sentence EVPs…it's pretty easy to do when you decide to drop the requirement that the actual recorded sounds are anywhere close to the same as the sentence you pretend it is.
The "alarm" thingy…be really neat if they would set up a grid of those (I'm starting to sound like a broken record) and observe the entity walk a path.
The "alarm" thingy…nice how they just tell us how it works and we're expected to believe that there is actually any backround research proving what it's doing.
"good luck tonight" sounded to me like "shzkthp wshhhs heggghs static static shshsh"
"you've got messed up heartbeats" I heard absolutely nothing even close to an intelligible word out of that sound…they've got great ears (or an even greater imagination)
If Zak's ego gets any bigger he's going to have to give up investigating places with only standard-width doors.
Shadow figure. A bit further away than I was picturing at first. Learjet did a pretty good job of recreating it. The GA shadow may be the same situation. It may be a real paranormal shadow figure, too, but my trust level is such that I can't accept much in the way of evidence from them unless I was personally doing oversight. Unfortunately they've brought this on themselves by way of previous actions.

Yeah, it kind of reminds me of old Kung-Fu movies. A character would speak for 30 seconds and the subtitled translation would be "Yes, I agree with you."
GA kind of does the opposite. The EVP recording sounds like "snap, crackle, and pop." The substitled translation is "Zak, you are super cool and have awesome hair and must work out a ton. Oh, by the way, I'm a ghost and I murdered whoever and…hey, where did you get that excellent shirt?"

Did you also enjoy how he took the shadow video to "professional" kids? Now I have nothing against brilliant young minds, but these….?

Oh yes, another photography expert, or "background" at least. "Yes, I see a humanoid shape here" So, instead of considering the possibility of, well, a human (which, I just recalled is also grail-shaped, er, human-shaped, or in other words…humanoid), it's "Gh-gh-gh-ooost" As Learjet mentioned, I wonder if they just forgot that they had wandered down that hallway and captured themselves.
We've talked about Jason's acting ability. Well, the "You smell chili?" scene tells me that Zak would benefit from acting lessons taught even by Jason!

I have a hard enough time watching GH, I don't know how you guys'n'gals can even stomach GA, piss drunk or not. I watched the first 2 minutes of this, and changed the channel. It's possibly the most retarded show on television, and that's saying something. The only real fans are the 13 year old girls who gush over Zak, most of whom I'm guessing probably aren't attractive enough to have a real boyfriend so they fantisize about this guy. Harsh? Maybe.. but truth isn't always pretty.
Whose got the bigger ego, Zak, or Ryan of PS? That'd make an interesting poll. I'd watch those two work together just for the laugh of trying to see them out-pose each other.

You may notice a white mass moving along the floor in the second one. That is my cat wondering what the heck I'm up to lol.
The cat is awesome. I think you need to report you have a haunted house complete with shadow figures and a ghost cat and get one of these shows to come out and investigate! Wouldn't it be interesting to see what they "find"…
I have to admit I'm rather surprised at the relatively mild responses on this Forum. The responses/comments seem far more harsh with GH and GHI. I've never actually watched any full episode of GA just because the main guy annoys the living daylights out of me but am I missing something? Are these guys more believable? Scientific? Better hair? :o) I admit though I'm still in the process of reading everything so maybe I've just not read enough. This is a great site!

Glad you liked that cat ghost. He's bugging me for noms as I type.
Most of time we don't take GA even the slightest bit seriously so don't usually bother even trying to debunk. Just watch it for a laughs.
I'd absolutely love a paranormal investigation team to come and investigate the lower half of my house. It scares the $&#@ out of me every time I go down there. Not from ghosts but…

The answers to those questions are "No", another "No", and "Dustin Pari still has Zak beat, but Zak is closing in on him at least as far as hair height" :)
You will also find not as much here about Most Haunted and Paranormal State. Those are two other shows that, like GA, have gone so far over the top that their noses are in a constant state of bleeding. Occasionally when something really out there happens, like here at Waverly, we'll comment on it, but by and large we usually just laugh.
Yes, lock Ryan and Zak in a room together…what a Halloween special!

The first time I watched Most Haunted, I believe my jaw was dragging the floor with watching Derek Acorah. I don't know that any of the various shows can top him!! What a con artist! After having my own paranormal experiences, I truly do believe there are things that can't be easily explaned but I also think if it was THAT easy to find evidence of hauntings, we'd all be tripping over ghosts everywhere we go!

It seems to me that when GH investigated Waverly they couldn't find any information on a nurse committing suicide there. I can't recall exactly what they said so I just googled "hanging nurse waverly" and came across this website: http://www.laspirits.com/waverlyhills.html Here's a simple cut and paste of what the article said (apparently legend says the nurse's name was Mary Hillenburg):
"…The KY death index reveals that only two people by the name of "Hillenburg" have died in Kentucky. Both died significantly later than the rumored date, and in fact well after Waverly Hills closed.
While a former employee of the facility seems to corroborate the hanging, none substantiate the nurse jumping from the roof. Although there are no documented deaths to these two suicides, as confirmed by the SciFi Channel series Ghost Hunters, it has not stopped those with EMF meters and other ghost-hunting equipment from claiming that there are spirits haunting this infamous room. These two suicides have caused many different tales to be circulated throughout the years.
Death Rate
Estimates vary wildly of how many died at Waverly. Some put the total at 63,000; however, that number is believed to be for statewide deaths.
Additional Facts
Evidence suggests that the worst total of deaths at Waverly was 152, which would make the overall death count considerably less than the legend. This information was found in the autobiography of Assistant Medical Director Dr. J. Frank W. Stewart, who states that the worst time for deaths was at the end of the Second World War when many soldiers were returning from overseas with very advanced cases…"

If you look at what Stewart actually writes, that 152 deaths is in one year "One of these years, we had 152 deaths, which was the highest in the history of the institution.", whereas the 63,000 is over it's entire history so a bit of apples and oranges. So if the worst year was 152, then you're looking at a max of under 8,000 which is still considerably less than 63,000 but a bit more reasonable than 152.

Check out this clip. Not the whole thing, just up to about 1:56. It shows where most of those "sudden, loud noises" come from.

So…that's just a bit of visual evidence as to why we don't really bother to critically examine their evidence. I mean…there really is no point…

I am trying to get the video right now actually. When we first got together is when we did the shadow people test and at that time I didn't own a camcorder so we used one of the members of the groups. The guys that we used is the computer teacher at a local college. Last I talked to him he still has all of the videos that we had, its just a matter of getting up with him and looking through the dvd's for it. I want to watch it again myself.
Any luck yet on getting the video?

Not as of yet. The guy that I did a lot of investigating with is filling in for awhile at a university about 6 hours or so from where I live. I contacted him but he said the dvd would be mixed in with some others he has at his home a few miles from me. He said when gets time he will go through the boxes and see which one has the footage on it. At the time I didnt' have a laptop or anything so I didnt bring anything with me to get a copy or to save it to at the time. About a year after that is when I upgraded my stuff and got a laptop, so the footage from Waverly and some of the local spots around me he has, the rest after that year I have possession of. Hopefully it won't be to much longer. The footage is really interesting. It's one of the few times that I have actually been left scratching my head afterwards.
