Which again shows the disconnect between "exciting TV" and "more legitimacy in an investigation" lol

Also, one has to ask oneself, how is it that every ghost understands and speaks English, when shows like GA, GH, GHI, DT, etc. go to a non-English speaking location? Is knowing English something that happens when you go to the otherside? For example, they ask a question in English, e.g. Can you knock three times? and the entity automatically understands to knock three times. GA and GHI at least attempt to communicate "sometimes" in the possible native language, but then the majority of the time it's all English. I don't hear any theories discussed by any of the shows that one learns English after they die and that's why they conduct the investigation in English. Again, it wouldn't make for entertaining television if you can't understand what the investigators are saying or having to read subtitles all the time. Although, I'm okay with subtitles, especially if it means they are trying to communicate to all the ghosties in their native language!

Buffy – The "theory" is that when you cross over to the other side you understand all languages. This helps anyone investigating in another country to be able to get EVP's in their native language.

sorry for bumping this post…
Would the subtle disclaimer(s) that Zak, et al that "It is said…", "The theory is…" be a way to state that as of now, this is something that is generally considered (somewhat) effective and after awhile one learns what is and what isn't a "ghost" based on the readings of said equipment?
I've always wondered that.
Math, as in ghost hunting IMO, is all based on theories. The difference is that math and science have been used for centuries to prove theories…true?

After 4 seasons I've still not heard a decent EVP from Ghost Adventures. To me they all sound like "fssthh cfghyrehc kshhfsvc" which they somehow translate to "Zak has great muscles" or some such entity speak. They are either masters of audio pareidolia or they just make stuff up as they go along.
Interesting that this topic was brought back up in the forum.
During Paranormal Challenge, Zak and his team of 'judges' criticize paranormal investigators on their technique, teamwork, and the evidence they present. Most of the teams do not present any great evidence. Most are similar to the crackling, difficult-to-hear tidbits Zak drools over during GA. Now, if this was GA, these pieces of evidence would be considered HARDCORE evidence. But on PC, Zak and his team of judges criticize the orbs and EVPs, saying they are difficult to distinguish and therefore are usually tossed out
Interesting.

I have noticed that a lot in the paranormal community Milli. One group downs another's evidence, only to present absolute rubbish themselves. But they happily go with theories that seem to have been cooked up by loonies. Don't know what's with that.
