I am curious what people thought of this episode. Partial possession? EVP's of what sounds like people outside mocking them? I have had multiple experiences in my lifetime that make me a firm believer, and even have been 'possessed' at times, and i honestly can say this was the first episode I actually found intriguing instead of entertaining/downright stupid. Other than the obvious sounds of people knocking and wondering out loud why the place was closed (the camera set up outside shows them peaking in the windows and reading what seems to be a note on the window stating that they are closed for the night), there seemed to be some legitimate happenings in this episode. I am a skeptic/believer also. I believe in the paranormal, but also believe that there are others out there trying to make a profit. I was a huge believer of GH before they became chumps (who can blame them….$$$ changes even the unchangeable).

SinVerguenza, to quote from you, " I believe in the paranormal, but also believe that there are others out there trying to make a profit ".
Well, that's pretty much what we witnessed last night.
Business owner, Stooges trying to make their show more 'intriguing', Snake oil selling author( did this guy know how to work Zak or what ).
What of the woman that was attacked? Oh wait, she's snake oil's publisher.
Their 'evidence' analyzed by another paranormal group. Collusion?
Maybe they need to go back to the retired stripper.
The one thing that left me scratching my head was the worker at the brewery.
Male? Female?

The only thing I found enjoyable about this episode was the scene where:
Zak Bagans, Confrontational Paranormal Investigator Extraordinaire, about crapped his pants after a little kitty scared him.
The truth will out.

Funny you should mention the cat; at some point during the episode Zak made the "We're not scared of you" comment and Ms Robot said something like, "Ya, you're not scared; just ask that cat."

The 'ghost interpreter machine thingy' makes for great tv; but come on, that's crazier than….I don't know….just crazy.

The business owner: Jeez! Was he over the top or what?

Still, I enjoy the show. I don't necessarily make a point to watch it, but if I'm home and it's on, I'll watch.

I….I'm thinking.

Nice to see that GA has gone the MH route :rolling eyes:

Funny how that "energy" was flitting around quite often but it was only brought to our attention when it did things like "disappear" into someone's head.

I think we witnessed proof that the place is NOT haunted…what ghost "alive" could have resisted the urge to push him down the steps??????

Let's not forget the 'evil' black mass that was departing from Nick as his possession was ending.
Well of course it would be appear to be moving away because Aaron was zooming in on Nick.
The show did give us a good look at that mystery door that GH said didn't exist when they investigated MRB.
From all the light I saw in the stairway I would conclude that it exits to the outside.
Hmmm.

I go to Savannah on occasion.
Think MRB will be on my itinerary next time.

Oh, how I love you folks!  Intelligent, entertaining and witty all rolled into one package.   Everyone here creates a virtual buffet of 'food for thought'.

Blinddog50's comment,  "The only thing I found enjoyable about this episode was the scene where:
Zak Bagans, Confrontational Paranormal Investigator Extraordinaire, about crapped his pants after a little kitty scared him."
made me laugh all over again.  It was the highlight of my GA viewing pleasure.   Which brings me to my question….

Why on earth would they choose to show Zac near crapping his pants over a cat?  Why not edit Zac's less than macho reaction to a fleeing furball?  I just found it odd that they chose to confirm that he's got less tolerance for fear than the average 6 year old.  Are they trying to convince the audience that they are allowing us to see unedited footage in the hopes that we will think that the self proclaimed paranormal stuff is real?  What's their angle on this?

Nick's reaction to getting hit in the head with an orb made me wonder if perhaps he is in contract negotions with the show.  I swear I could almost hear his thoughts during his silence.  "If that piece of $#!% Zac gets more money than me next year, I'm gonna #)@%ing KILL him."  As they say, if looks could kill, Zac would be dead.  Either Nick has some real acting talent or he has some major issues with Zac.  Either way, I do enjoy Nick.

Speaking of hearing thoughts through an electronic box, I must admit that I have actually attended a bonafide TAPS family group ghost hunt where one of these contraptions have been used.  They wouldn't let me play with it, hold it, touch it, or look at it closely so I have no clue other than what we all see on TV, but it did add great drama for those who would drink the ectoplasmic kool-aid.

Sheetie, why would they leave that footage in?
Zak owes film editor money.
Zak snaked film editor's g/f from him.
Film editor just plain out doesn't like Zak Bagans.

Just reflect back on the scene, Larry and Curly up on the sidewalk didn't exactly look like Tesla and Einstein either.

As far as going to MRB, I'd have to go incognito, as I don't have my own tv show. I doubt that I'd be allowed a lot of equipment.
I would hang down in the basement and try to experience a ghostly mugging.
I'd like to run into that greasy author guy.
Ohh yeahhh, we'd be'z havin' fun then.

Once again, thank you for a good laugh.  I choose to believe the one possibility that you left off of your list…..answer E: 'all of the above'.

You mean to tell me that I need my own TV show to go to MRB?  Dang!  Some guys have all the luck.  I guess that the rest of us will need to accept that we must live vicariously through the 'expert' ghost hunters lives on TV.

Next you'll be telling me that I will have to either shave my head or add copious amounts of 'product' to what hair I do have, to get a TV show.  If having a perpetual bad hair day is a requirement for induction into world class ghost hunting you can count me in.  I'm there baby!

However, I do refuse to wear baggy cargo pants.  They make my butt look big.

Also interesting that, as over the top at this episode was, there STILL was not a solid figure running around in the dark. With all the activity going on for GA, SURELY ol' sheetie would have made an appearance–dontcha think?

@ Nosfer , i completly agree , zak is completly on a heroic mission to save the world ( or moon river brewery) from ghosts , that everybody has seen ( except for us ).

The thing with the step , is stunning ( if you are a believer) but as a sceptic it is pretty funny.

(ghost ?) using their spirit energy for words in a database , to communicate , yeah right…

The EVP was pretty scary ( but it is more like using a good voice actor) i think i gonne use it in a dark techno track , the dead can complain and i dont have to clear the sample :D

by the way ,  i am dutch ,  and alll the ghost tv shows dont air on the tellie , so my reaction is a little bit late :D

This episode was one of the worst ever.  And I mean of ANY show on the paranormal on TV.

Please–a possession and a very obviously fake voice from the dead!  Looks like the boys have been taking a page from the book of Moon's famous telephone.

Just how gullible do they think the viewing public is?  Well, admittedly there is a lot of gullibility out there.  But do they have to be so blatant as to where they are getting their bag of tricks?  GA started out with a bang and a good premise of using the least amount of people; the locked-in schtick is just adding a dramatic touch.  They started to try and pass off some very silly and obvious tricks as being the real deal, but this show was the absolute pits.

And to think that in the beginning, I had high hopes for their approach to paranormal investigation.  Fooled again!Yell

I think this one ranked up there as one of the worst client personalities, too. That guy was just a piece of work!

@ Oubliette

I'd forgotten about the 'possession'; that seems to becoming a weekly feature. I hadn't really thought about it but, yea, this may have been a new low. It's one thing to hear an unexplained sound and claim it could be some murder victim from the 1800s – it's quite another to start faking possessions and using some gadget to interpret ghost voices.

@ Nosfer

Agree on the client. I think he started the whole show off with a "Get your BS meter ready." vibe.

There are some things I like about this show, but they're starting to move into the 'Most Haunted' vein. And I don't watch MH.

I….I'm thinking.

Spot on BD50.

You don't see it happening so much when it's light, but vignetting and shadows are quite common artifacts of telephoto lenses when zooming. Since the shadowappears to move at the precise time of zoom, it's a no brainer to debunk.

Nosfer said "Funny how that "energy" was flitting around quite often but it was only brought to our attention when it did things like "disappear" into someone's head."

I was thinking the same thing. The place has quite a few insects, sorry spirits flying around, 9 out of 10 times they were ignored.

A couple of the EVP's were interesting.

I found the personal experiences of staff and patrons interesting also, but the investigation in general was pretty poor. These guys are just too suggestible. I bet they hypnotise easily.

Ok…you guys just don't get it!  First Zak was possessed!  Now Nick!  Poor Aaron is probably scared out of his wits because he knows he's next!  These possessions are very real and very scary!  It's all about energy and you know how scary energy is!  I just don't know why none of you skeptics will even acknowledge….Laughing

Even I can't write "crazy" for that long… Tongue out

I don't know about the rest of you, but I can't get enough of these half-assed possessions.  On the "Pathetic Display of Nonsense" scale…they're hitting an absolute 11!  You see, most Pathetic Display of Nonsense scales only go to 10, but when they need that extra push, that extra inexplicable jaunt into craziness, they can go that one extra level.  Yes…their Pathetic Display of Nonsense scale definitely goes to 11…

I don't know about anyone else, but I like these investigations of places that have already been investigated by other groups.

I find it very interesting that two separate groups can go to a place and capture evidence that is not consistent with what the other group captured, but rather is consistent with the style and look of the evidence that the same group captures at OTHER places. Isn't that interesting?

It shows that the GROUP not the PLACE is what determines the evidence. Hmmmmmmm

Could someone please tell me if the bartender was a he or she or other?  Not that it matters but that is the only mystery I found in this investigation.  Well, maybe one other, did anyone else notice the guys seemed a little high strung on this investigation?  Could have been nerves, hype, or maybe a little (or lot) of hitting the brew.  I dont think whats his face was possessed, maybe just a little buzzed.  Locked up in a brewery all night, who wouldn't see dead things.  And the tour guide, whats up with that dude?  He was a little more than just on the lope side.  What a nut.
