As Zac yelled out to the spirits "Do some Voodoo magic on us!" I paused for a moment and considered his request. Yes Zac…it is very true…we all want the spirits to do some voodoo magic on the three of you. Without question, that is exactly what we want…*sighs*…if only they would…
Magnolia Lane Plantation. Can't have a ghost show without going to at least one plantation. GA filled the quota tonight. Random thoughts:
A) Dr. Ken Brown- I was watching the show with a couple of friends. The show featured Dr. Ken Brown, an anthropologist from Houston. Since I lived in Houston for a while, my friends asked me if I knew him. Yes. Yes I do. Houston only has 5.7 million residents and I know all of them. Dr. Ken Brown, as Jason from GH would say, is my "good friend." I have 5.7 million good friends in Houston.
B) Smokin' Matrixing- While performing, and I use the term "performing" very loosely, some ritual with "Bloody Mary (a supposed voodoo priestess)" a picture was taken that showed a female face in some smoke. Take five more pictures and you'll see a bunny, Babe Ruth, a tire iron, a part of a sandwich, and a glimpse of the new Harry Potter movie. Such is matrixing…
C) The Alien Room- Zac and the boys found themselves befuddled by hanging "alien eggs." They simply could not get over these strange alien objects. Afraid to even touch them. Myself…I'm thinking either a white eggplant or squash. Here's a picture. Not so scary when they're in a basket, are they? Also, they captured a mysterious light that moved away from them. It seemed like they were looking at a window. The light source was outside. The light "appeared" to move to the left because the movement of the camera went to the left. I think the light was stationary the whole time…only the camera moved.
D) EVP's- Is it just me or do these EVP's this season sound awfully…"canned." As if, oh…I don't know, like they were pre-recorded or something. They just don't sound right. I can't prove it. And I'm certainly no EVP expert…if there really is such a thing. But I'm just not buying them…
And before I go…here's a little information on Louisiana Voodoo.

Reverant,
Agreed, the alien eggs was the best.
Otherwise just more histrionics by the Tiresome Trio.
I am interested in next week's show.
According to the preview, they catch two ghosts having sex.
Already got my DVR set for that one,

First off, I need to say 'thank you' to everyone here for the intelligent and interesting discussion supplied in this forum.
According to the preview, they catch two ghosts having sex.
Blinddog50 – Your comment made my day. I will now await this spectacle with giddy anticipation. I will venture to guess that Zac and his buddies have found the only Motel 666 in the country.

Actually they're going to be at the Birdcage Theater in Tombstone.
Is there some rule in paranormal investigating that you have to go to certain places and rehash what others have done? Just wonderin'

I don't really mind them going to places other famous teams have gone to. In fact it's rather interesting to see the same place gone over with different methods. For all we've said about GH, I found their tact a bit better than when MH went to the same places…that…well, that was, just how do I even put it! :)
My real question, though, is Zak Bagans related to Bilbo and Frodo?

Places with previous documentation of suspected PN activity require less 'splaining to the TV audience of like minds. Not to mention this is the 'Travel Channel' and I can't help but think that there is a method to their madness when it comes to choosing the general locations. A little history, a little mystery, a few well told tales, some guy dressed like some western sherrif with a strange mustache. Add that to the fact that you have three numbskulls as the 'stars' of this show who present themselves to have the collective IQ of a doorknob. Something in that mix needs to have a shred of credibility, so why not credit it to the location?
IMO, it's 'bandwagon' propaganda. GH did it so it's got to be good. Did GH do it? I know somebody did it because I have memory of that location. Unless of course, there is a theory about acid flashbacks from a previous life. I wonder if Steve knows anything about this theory?

Nosfer, I agree with what you are saying.
Same locations, different 'techniques'. Up to a point.
Just don't like to see the same old, same old.
But then these guys have to go someplace with a proven track record of paranormal activity, because after all, these three couldn't find a Haunted Mansion at Disney World.
I think you may be correct about Zak being related to a Dildo….I mean Bilbo.

I wondered that too, but then I realized it's a different spelling ('Baggins' for Frodo and Bilbo). Plus, Hobbits are smarter.

The Birdcage Theatre is a great place to visit, and I'll actually go out of my way to watch this episode.
I can't see it being very good for GA though – it's suprisingly small and even the main floor is cluttered with display cases and such – lots of reflections, weird shadows, but not a lot of room to run when they get scared.
Here's some good interior shots – http://www.ghost-trackers.org/birdcage.htm

Paul Anthony posted the schedule a while ago. Here is what is left:
Birdcage Theater (premieres July 3) Eastern State Penitentiary (premieres July 10) Moon River Brewing Company (premieres July 17) Ram Inn (premieres July 24)
Then, I don't know if they are taking a "break" or not like GH and GHI does. I haven't checked. But ESP and Moon River…where have I heard those before?

Birdcage, ESP, Moon River.
I rest my case.
There is a Ram Inn in Laredo.
They have one in England, but I don't think British customs would let these nitwits in.
Although this site has been visited by MH, so who knows.

Those alien eggs were most definitely some sort of squash/gourd. I actually yelled at the tv when he went on and on about the "alien eggs" - I expected his voiceover to say "after reviewing the footage, we realized these were gourds drying" and they would have gained some respect. If they can voiceover the evps, why not apologize for looking like idiots? Wait, I know why- the whole show would be full of voiceovers.
These guys are fun to watch. This episode even got coverage on E!'s The Soup – the host described them as frat boys looking for ghosts. Very appropriate.

I haven't seen this episode, the alien eggs deal crack's me up.
Magnolia Lane Plantation was on Scariest Places on Earth. That's where i saw the place. It had Alan robeson telling this family the history of the place, and about vodoo, etc. Was kind of interesting. I'm not sure if MTV's Fear was here as well.
Surprised GH hasn't been to this place. it would be interesting if they caught ghosts having sex,oh please.
